When I first opened my business one of Total Merchant Services employees or reps stopped by and sold me on allowing them to handle all of my credit and debit card business.I was new to this so I signed up and started accepting credit and debit cards.Down the road maybe 2 or 2 1/2 yrs after getting numerous calls from different credit card companies informing me of overcharges I had another company look at handeling my credit and debit card business.They showed me where Total Merchant Services had gradually increased their fee's.

I used Total Merchant Services from March. 2009 to  Jan. 2013 and most transactions were costing me about 3.5 percent of transaction.Per credit or debit card swipe.Which is outrageous. I have changed to a better ,less expensive company now.They charge me .5 percent of each transaction.which is wonderful.But the shadyness of Total Merchant Services does not stop there.I cancelled my service with Total Merchant Services in January 2013.I continued to get charges from their sister company, Global Payment Center  at a rate of about $50.00 a month for over 28 months.

They did not send me a statement mind you .They would slip in my account and charge the account as a debit charge.And different days of the month.And the charges were under Global Payment. I called Global Payment center and Total Merchant Services at different times here and there over 2 years and would be put on hold for very long periodes of time . Finally getting someone on the phone I would be routed somewhere else.Keep in mind I am attempting to run a business here and feel as if Im being toyed with by being put on hold and transfered to so and so. Well.... finally yesterday after locking myself in my office I finally got someone to speak with me about the monthly charges at Total Merchant Services.

My temper was High after being toyed with over and over but I held my calm and requested to know why they continued to charge me for services I had not received in over two years.For some reason she, the lady and Total Merchant Services, thought this was humerous.I did not and asked them to refund the fees they had scammed me out of over the last two years.My answer from her was NO. No we will not be refunding any funds.Frustrated I asked her to please stop  charging me for services they were not providing.She said sir we can do that but you need to be aware there is a $200.00 deactivation fee.I blew a gasket and told her I could not believe this. And I can't!! Is this what it's come to people?

In my opinion if I had done this to one of my customers for over two years I would be sitting in a small cell somewhere.And If I did anything like that in my opinion that's whers I would belong.What is our world coming to where Large company's can rob small business and just gauge them so?? I pray another small business owner run's across this and avoid's Total Merchant Services all together.I just can't believe they refuse to return the fund's they did absolutely nothing to earn.NOTHING!!
