I purchased a Lyra MP3 player model RD 2820 about 14 months ago.
Recently the battery failed. I tried to purchase a replacement at my local battery store.
The manager told me the battery contained a circuit board and could be replaced by the manufacture. I called Thomson and they told me the battery was discontinued and that my only option was to trade the unit in for a replacment unit for $99.00.
I paid over $200.00 for the unit when it was new. It still works fine, I don't feel that I should have to spend $99.00 when I only need a battery to make mine work!
I feel that Thomson should either sell me a battery or send me a replacement unit for the cost of a battery!
