My friend was approached by two men on September 29, 2003 while at a local Shell Gas Mart. They said they were working a job for a man who either worked for Theater Research or was friends with a worker.
They went on to tell him that the man gave them the speakers (Model TR-2810) as a promotional item for their work and that they were just trying to make some extra money because they did not want them.
Each box has a price printed on it stating the speakers are retailed for $1999.00 each, but the men settled for $200 each just because they said they had nothing invested in them and once again they wanted to make a few extra bucks.
My friend, Seth, said they would not leave him alone and came down on their price a couple of times until he said he would buy them for $200 each.
The speakers were packaged in a royal blue box with orange and white lettering. The package did not include installation directions and the warranty card only has an address.

I would just like to warn anyone that is approached by these people to not give in to their scam. Make them present a business card and take down their license plate number.
