A few years ago I worked for The Butler Company ( A major if not the major supplier of veternary medical supplies.
I was making a delivery in the Great Falls, Virginia area when a car in front of me was traveling at or below 20 mph. He was zigzaging all over the road and stopping or slowing in such a manner that would cause my vehicle to get close to him at times.
After a few miles of this, I lightly tapped the horn ( thinking he didn't know I was behind him na dhe might stop talking on cell phone ). All hell broke out, he stopped in the road so I couldn't pass and started waving his hands out of the sun roof and then got out of the car. He wa using all words in all forms as he approached the truck.
I told him to settle down and had he been paying attention I would not have blown the horn. Well, he kept coming toward the truck ( I'm recalling the L.A. riots and how the truck driver was jerked out of his truck ). I told him not to get any closer to the truck but he kept coming. When I said, " You need to get back in your car dickhead!", he returned to his car but still kept the slow speed and prevented me form passing.
I dropped back far enough that I couldn't be seen on curves or hills ( I knew the road well). When he completed a curve witha very long straight away ahead, I sped up and as I approached his vehicle I over took him and passed.
Two weeks later I was fired by Butler. All on the complaint of the idiot in the car. Nothing I said was considered truth, the company took the cell phone users words for biblical truth.
So much for road rage being wrong. Or, at Butler Company, road rage by other parties can get employees fired.
