I just had the worst experience with Terminix after being a customer for over ten years. In that time they did a horrible job of attempting unsuccessfully of getting rid of terminites and they had to come back many times to try to get rid of them. I paid a monthly fee to them and I just found out from the hundrends of other ripoff reports that they intentually want you to forget about paying a monthy fee, because that means you will have to sign up again!!! 

In my case, their bate system did not work and while undergoing some personal health problems they put me on a monthly payment program, without sending me a bill. While undergoing my surgeries, my debit card renewed and I did not realize the numbers had changed. They did not send me a bill and did not call my only phone number, my cell phone. They just conveniently let it laps. 

Had another swarm yesterday and was put through to a manager (and after an hour of receiving horrible customer service from him making it obviously he just didn't care about the situation) he promised me since I was a valued customer for so long and because I use them for another service, they would let me pay the difference when the guy got there, but that I had to wait until the next day. His name was Markus? I was told they would come between 8-10 am. They had came to my house 9 months prior to treat the same area-so clearly it was unsuccessful.

My brother was there because I had an appointment and I received a call from from an inspector at 9:45 stating the complete opposite and that he would not come unless I paid for the entire new balance around $1500 as a new customer and that he wasn't even the guy who would do the treatment! He had no idea if and when that would happen. I had to apologize to my brother for wasting his time since we were given the wrong information! 

I called them again and now spoke to a woman and a manager Todd, who had the absolute worst customer service skills I've ever encountered. He said a few things that were terrible for example he didn't care if I paid the amount or not, and then once I said I was taping the call and that it was on speaker phone, he quickly changed that. The woman told me that once you miss a month without paying you are out, and then he quickly corrected her. I received so much contradicatory information that our heads were spinning. His level of compassion due to the issue of why I didn't notice the money wasn't being taken out due to the circumstances were so unprofessional and uncaring that I realized then I would never want to do business with them again. I have since read so many of the same reviews that they treat all of their customers this way. 

They wanted to offer me a "deal" of paying even more than I origionally paid!!!! It was rediculous. The lack of compassion and the unprofessionalism that is written hundreds of times in the hundreds of rip off reports is exactly what I encountered. 

I asked them if they would lower the price of beginning over, by mearly $200 which still was truly unfair and the worst customer service to treat a customer for over ten years, and it was a flat out "no." I asked him to ask his boss the regional manager to make sure that they didn't want to lose a customer for only $200 and the answer was still a very rude and insincere NO! 

That is my horrible experience and I only wish I read all of these reviews beforehand! Hundreds of customers all saying similar compaints about the terrible customer service. How are they still in business???

I called their competition and told them what happened. They gladly accepted the $200 lower price that I suggested and told me that they care about their customers and that was their way of proving it. Apparently now that I mentioned my situation to people I know, everyone already knew Terminix offers terrible customer service. I didn't know behand and have wasted so much money on a service that never even worked.

Very sad experience and caused a lot of stress...
