Complaint Review: Sutliff Hummer - mechanicsburg pa Pennsylvania

I was recommended to go to Sutliff Hummer located on Mechanicsburg, PA.  They are the local hummer dealer for this region. I purchased a 2006 Hummer H3 from them about 9-11 months ago.  bought with about 47 k miles on it.  Purchased it pre-owned certified. It's Grey with black leathed piped in orange. Pretty car.

I though ok this dealership is been around forever and they gotta be good. So i purchased the car, didn't take long at all. i was happy till things started to go wrong. The car was certified i believe in march 2010 or so it was right before i bought it.  so it was in the shop a total of 8 times all together.

first was not starting, left me sit total of 3 times with 3 different reason to starting.   so we went back they gave me a run around im guessing because im younger they could just BS me though, so i had to get my father into it.  so it come to the point we bought it it had  another alarm and remote start. it was screwing up the car, they had to remote it, but when they did they didnt take it all 100% out.  the car started to start n stop with out the key in the switch finally got that fixed, they replaced the back brakes and rotors after the first week.  tried to tell us that the "rain causes the rotors to rust and they ruin quickly" come on we aint stupid here.   they have replaced man parts, some kind of moduelator, bunch of stuff. there was a  rattling we reported and they could never ' find it" we took it to another dealer.

so thorton chevy found it right away, ironically?  we had trouble with this car since we got it.  there is certian things the car must have to pass certifications. i gaurentee there is no way it could have been.  all they did was buy it, slap a sticker on it and say its certified and paid gm to have it cert.   they never explained anything about the car, what kinda oil it uses, how many miles before u need to change it. ( mercddes are different) so each car is different. they never washed the car before delivery. nothing at all.  we reported all the problems.

we were asked what we wanted, we said to take it back, and they wont.  they know for a  fact they sold us a POS. and plain just dont care.  last month one of the back rear tires blew out.  all 4 of my tired are dry rotted.  i could have wrecked.  they claim they put new tires on the car before they sold it, BS!  dry rotted in less then a  years time.  NO WAY!  of course there nothing they could do about it.  so againb we paid. $1200.00 in all that time,  2 days ago left me sit again, the starter went out.  i bet this hummer has about 5 grand of work done to it already. 

i called yesterday to complain some more  they just dont care at all not one bit, all they care is your money.  they got pissed because i took it another dealer.  the general manager acted like he had no idea whats going on. If they would actually care and do there job they would have the service why should i give them service calls when they truely dont care, they justed wanted to make that money from gm for factory warranty.  they are crazy if they think im gonna give em any more business. one time i needed a loaner.  i use the  hummer for a  business car since we haul stuff from warehouse to store. they gave me a little egg car?  WTF am i to do with that? seriously?  go get donuts? 

i called to the owner about all the troubles, all the problem at the dealership that he owns.  he said he has to take care of this. till he heard i had it at another dealership.  he suggest maybe thorton maybe damaged the car. yeah right. then he said" maybe you should call them so WE dont have to come down there ( hummer needed towed)  that was pure bs and it was insulting. all they do is play games. they know they sold me as bad car and now they are just playing games. they had an excuse for everything too.

so i write al this out for anyone looking to purchase a car from any sutliff dealerships, i strongly urge you not too. if anything check into things first.  cuz once they got you, your screwed.

we asked about being put into a different hummer, they had a  blk h2 they told me on the phone 29k  ok 3 grand more then my purchase, no big deal we get there its 37k and wouldnt honor it. they fabricate their paperwork too. there is no was it would have passed certifacation.

when i spoke to the general manager, he told me one option is to trade it in, i laughed and said what your gonna give me 12 grand for something i just paid 26 for? they must think people are stupid, im already not happy with there service and he wants me to trade it in so they can rip me off more?  its unbelieveable the way i was treated  they insulted my intelligence so bad. i will never ever buy a car from them again, ill never recomment them, i have filed a complain with general motors as they are a shady dealership. so i warn you fellow pa people. dont waste your money, because they will rip you off too. sad part is they just dont care at all. i spoke to the gm, service gm, the owner, owners son, assit. mang  everyone and they all play games. so i hope yall listen to me and dont make that mistake.

i am looking into what we can do from legal stand point. i feel we are owed something for all this trouble and shady business.  they are not professional at all i dont understand how they are even in business?

i do know i will never buy a GM product again, what made it even worse because i know eveey now and then there are messed up products but its life.  but Sutliff made a bad impression represending GM/Hummer that i will never ever consider a GM ever again.  ever! my worst purchase of my life.  i hope GM investigates this dealership and  catches em for there untruthful and corruption.
