Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I received a phone call from a location company advising me to call S&S immediately. I asked for information regarding the call and was told that they do not have any information. They were hired by S&S to search for people for them (this is not the funny part yet).  I called the number and spoke with someone briefly who advised me that I am being sued (I was in shock, I have not problems with anyone or anything).  I decided to end the call and call back when I was in a better place to speak about this serious matter. So, I called back and spoke with a woman named Stephanie who basically sounded like she was reading a script (that's ok).  Once I started asking questions as to why am I being sued, Stephanie stated that it was from an old Verizon bill in the amount of $1,241.34 from 1998 (this pissed me off because I did not have Verizon phone service in 1998 (my service at that time was a service that offered walkie talkie service).  She verified all my personal information, when I asked her to give me more information about her company (Steven & Stevens Associate Group aka S&S), she immediately stated that the amount is due immediately.  I asked her for what, Stephanie said "Verizon sold your debt to us and we're calling to collect."  I told Stephanie that I would like to contact my attorney and would need as much information possible because I was a victim of fraud.  Stephanie asked if I check my credit report and I should have seen it, it was put on my credit report in 2013 (so, my question was if this bill is from 1998 why didn't Verizon make any attempts to collect this debt that is clearly not my reponsibility and all of a sudden in 2013 decide to put it on my credit report and take it off - As Stephanie stated  is what Verizon did? And, how interesting the way she brought up Federal Law).  I advised her that I monitor my credit closely and have never seen any amounts on any of my reports.  I asked for her supervisor's name and she gave me the name of Dayson.  (I laughed out loud when Dayshon said that if I need or want any additional information have my attorney fax a letter of representation.) I advised her that I have not retained an attorney and wish to receiving more information about this debt, and she repeated the attorney fax letter of representation.

Well, after speaking with great customer service representatives from Verizon who saves all records.  They advised me that the telephone number nor the name of the business is not on their list of credit collectors  and I should be careful because quite a few calls have been coming in recently with complaints just like this one.

Verizon has now blocked that number from calling but advised that it's possible they will use another number to call from.

I am happy Verizon cleared it up and found that I am not in debt with them and advising me that this company is suspicious (because research shows that even their website is on the bootleg level with mispelled words and not much information, no log in for customers, no email address, just a cheap webpage that doesn't even come up in Google search engines.  Which Stephanie couldn't even tell me how long the company has been running.

Steven & Stevens Associate Group aka S&S are scam artist.  Please beware.
