Square Tradecwarranty coverage on purchased items nationwide
I purchased a toy for my son at Toys R Us. They offered a warranty through Square Trade, The brochure lists what Square Tradecovers...Button Failure, cracked screen, liquid damage..."your item is covered for all of lifes accidents"
My sons toy stopped working. I called, left a message, Call was returned an hour later. Person on phone asked several questions then said I had to go through the manufacturer for warranty coverage. I asked why purchase coverage from them if I have to go through manufacturer? He said we have an insurance company we have to answer to..??
This is a scam in my opinion. They just deny claims and see how far people are willing to jump through hoops before they give up. I am so disappointed. I never purchase these plans just for this reason. I didnt ask for cash, I would be happy with a gift card to get my son a toy that works.
Now Square Trade and Toys R Us have lost my business. Buyer beware, their warranty is not worth the paper they printed it on.

I say stay well away from Square Trade. What good is insurance that wont cover your property that you paid to cover? Just because you are a big company, you dont have the right to ripp every one off. Do not waste your money with Square Trade.
