In January of 2004 I signed up for 8 free issued of Sports Illustrated from Best Buy with my purchase.

SI and Best Buy state that you can cancel you account anytime within those 8 issues and you will NOT be charged.

Well after 2 months passed and I did not get any of my free issues, or anything at all from SI I went to the online customer service site which was given to me at the time of sign up.

When I entered my information into the system, I got a message stating that my account was no longer valid, and no longer existed. So I figure that since I never received 1 free issue, and was not in their system that I was okay.

Well today I noticed when checking my monthly credit card statement that on 4/6/2004, I was chared the $24.95 renewal fee from Sports Illustrated.

This is quite a scam, something needs to be done. I did not get 1 free issue when I was suppsoed to get 8, and everytime I tried to make sure my account was cancelled and would not renew automatically, they said my account did not exist.

Not Fair!
