My son sign up with Southwestern two or three months ago. They gave him a telephone number and told him his service will be activated the next day by 12:OO pm.

Well the next day his services was not on. I told him to call them so they will know his phone never was cut on. He call the 800 number. The customer service person told him it will be on the next day.

Well the next day came and it was not on again. I told him maybe it will be on the following day. When I came home the next day his phone was still not on. I told my son to call Southwestern bell again.

The next day my husband told my son that Southwestern bell had return his called and his service will be on that evening. Well guess what? It was not on again.

Now Southwestern bell is sending him a bill for $166.35 for services that was never activated. My son call them again and told them that he never use the line they asign to him because the phone has never worked. He have not received any response other than the collection letter and phone calls to pay a bill for something he never had a chance to use.

Now for my ripoff experience with Southwestern bell. My husband and I had a cellular phone through MCI Worldcom. MCI Worldcom file bankruptcy.

Southwestern Bell telephone company bought all MCI'S contracts in August. My husband and I was receiveing billS from MCI for the next two months. We also received a bill from Cingular wireless for $89.00 for both our cellular phones. I was not sure why I received a bill from Southwestern bell for two months because MCI had written me to tell me that Cingular wireless will honor our contract they had with us. They did not say when Cingular wireless would be taken over our contract.

Well I called Cingular wireless to see what was going on. They told my that I owe them for August, September and October. I told them that MCI was still billing me and I have paid them for August and September. I also told them that they did not send me anything letting me know I should be paying them instead on MCI for those two months.

The customer service lady told me that she will let her supervisor know and they will call me back on Monday. I did not here from them. I forgot to call them back because our company is understaff at this time so it slip my mind.

My husband call me that following Friday to ask me if I had paid the cellular phone bill because Cingular wirless had disconnect our mobile phone. I explain to him what happen and told him I will sign us up with Verizon wireless on Saturday.
