Let me help you with both your logic and common sense problem. A remote is normally NOT covered for two reasons. Depending on WHAT TYPE of warrenty you have, it may not be fiscally responsable or viable for them to replace the remote as it MAY completly redeem the warrenty. Two is that a remote is so very cheap in comparisson to the actual TV. You can buy a good remote for 20-40 bucks. Save you warrenty for when the TV is ACTUALLY broken.

And not to put too fine a point on this, but if your remote was the only issue, why did you not just GET UP and change the channel?? Most TV's now are hooked up to some form of cable TV so all you would have really had to do is MANUAL turn it on..........the cable remote would have changed the channels.

A warrenty is considered a CONTRACT. As such whatever is outlined in the body of the warrenty IS covered. If your remote is not mentioned as a item replaced by the warrenty, then it is not covered. Sounds to me like you just want someone else to pay for your problem. Youre looking to both of those companies because YOU ARE TOO CHEAP!! Stop looking in other peoples pockets to fix YOUR problem. Thats very petty of you to hold them accountable for YOUR issue. Actually what you are doing is two very bad things.

One you are posting a negative review with NO BASIS for the review thereby causing both companies to have to defend against YOUR baseless accusations. So in essence you are making a FALSE report. Second, you are attempting to SCAM out of them something that IS NOT covered by YOUR warrenty. The only lawyer you should deal with is the one thats going to have to defend you because youre just not that bright.
