I personally think that a person having to many credit cards is one very good reason for mixups like this. I do not have a Sears, gasoline/oil, or any credit cards except ONE it is a master card not that it matters, I deal a fair amount at Sam's and some fair sized sales, in fact I am thinking of getting a garden tractor from them. I deal mostly in Niagara Falls N.Y.
I can honestly say that I have never had a moments trouble with them, as they do not renew my card until I am in there and my membership hapens to be due. I did however run into one problem in Orlando Florida when purchasing some products I found out (to my disgust) they do not take Master Card there, each store is up to its own individual manager.

I do not like to pay $25.00 for late fees. That is abit steep. If SAMS wants to serve better they should reduce or eliminate the late fee. We are paying interest in the balance anyway.

I have been a member of Sam's Club for a good number of years and have always paid for my membership with my credit card. They have never charged anything to my account without my approval. Each year when my subscription becomes due, I get a letter in the mail listing my subscription and any associate memberships that I might have had for the previous year and reminding me that renewal is in order.
This year, a few weeks after I renewed the associate membership for my son, he passed away. So, I called and asked if the membership could be transferred to his fiance's name so that it would be available for her use. They very willingly complied with my request, for which I was very grateful.

This guy is not paying attn. I have been a member for 2 years and they have always been very helpful with ANY situation. On two occasions 1 thier fault and 1 the post office fault took off 2 late charges without any hesitation. Once when I changed addresses they sent it to my old place I called and told them what happened and once when the post office sent the payment back to my house. On the post office one I called them to let them know what happened and said that if I were to resend it right away that they would extend my due date by 1 week. When I got the next statement the late fee was on there. I called and it was credited to my account right away. MY ADVISE PAY ATTN.

When you signed up for Sam's Club Credit - you were given the declarations and legal info. In this information it clearly tells you that all membership dues will be automatically charged to your account for renewal. This includes all secondary cardholders. At any time you allowed somone to be added on as a secondary they became part of your membership thus their dues would be renewed as well.
I would hope that the people you have signed up on your memebership were family or friends and they would be honest and forthright enough to reimburse you the $15 (plus tax) for the priveledge of having a memebership that saves them far more than this very minimal investment each year.
They were not ripping you off or scamming you - you just chose not to educate yourself. Hopefully you have learned a lesson but don't blame those who were/are not at fault.
It is unfortunate that you state you will no longer shop at Sams Club, it is your loss. By the way clubs were not around in the 60's when you say you joined.

This person claims to have joined Sam's Club in the 60's in his statement. This would have been impossible due to the fact that Sam's Club was not in existence in the 60's. The first Sam's Club that ever opened was in Midwest City Oklahoma, a suburb of Oklahoma City, club #8241 in the year 1983. So if this man claims he joined in the 60's, he is lying. Which makes me wonder what else he is lying about.

If you had been paying attention to your monthly statements, this could not have gone on for 2-3 years. Had you asked them to stop this practice after the first membership fee had been added to your account, it would have made a big differance. After all, would you provide anyone a service for 2-3 years and then want that person to complain to you they didnt want
it????? I think your problems with Sams are from your own
negligence.Anyone that doesnt look over a charge statement for 2-3 years is asking for big trouble!! After this amount of time thank your lucky stars it was just membership fees!!
