I'm currently an agent with Realty Executives in Del Mar, CA. Over the years I've "hung my license" with other branches as well. What i wish to point out to ALL who read the above comments is as follows: When you hire an agent, you hire an AGENT - not a company. The Re/Max or Coldwell agent serving you today might have beena C-21 or Realty Executives agent yesterday. It's the nature of the industry. I hear a lot of bitterness in this gentlemans tone and don't deny he has a right to be upset HOWEVER - if we want to start digging through court cases we can find similar stories from virtually EVERY franchise Real Estate company in the world!! Do you really think there are no dud's employed (or owning) C-21, Re/Max, Coldwell, ERA, Prudential offices across this country?! I will sell $10,000,000 in real estate this year exclusively through referrals and repeat business because I am a true consultant (as opposes to a sales person). The purpose of a Real estate professional is to consult, advise and over see the transactional details - anything short of that makes you a very typical real estate sales person. While there are plenty of "dud's" in this industry who migrated over from the corner car llot, there are also MBA who practice high ethical standards because it is WHO THEY CHOOSE TO BE. Every industry has dud's. I see them every day. Toyota, Ford, GE, Microsoft... Does that make them poor products as a whole? Your AGENT and your agents BROKER failed miserably however YOU are also responsible for not hiring knuckle heads. Some part of you was "asleep at the wheel" when you interviewed this agent to begin with. I advise you to take some responsibilty for the things that go wrong in your life and not yell and scream about 1,000,000+ whom you have never even met. Based on your tone and lack of due diligence as a consumer, I'd refer you to another agent as you wouldn't make my list as a client since I only work with 5-Star, quality, conscious, responsible people. I wish you a speedy recovery from your dented ego.
