I am taking my RCA TV back tonight. Not only is the Guide Plus+ feature incompatable with digital cable, it's far inferior to boot. What a fraud. I've managed to get mine working, however it will not work for any channel beyond the 188 built into the TV. The Guide Plus+ system will recognize movie channels (that start at channel 534 for my service) but can't change to it. Instead, it changes to channels in the 50's. Ridiculous. Then, if that's not bad enough, the menu/guide systems from the cable box are blocked so you're left with a far inferior guide that doesn't work for all channels. This whole thing is a rip-off. It's just a big advertising gimmick. If you're brave enough to purchase something with Guide Plus+ note how the advertising space is larger than the guide itself.

I have a Mitsubishi CS-36509 with TV Guide Plus, and also have digital cable, and the TV guide is a pain in the tush. Whenever the power goes out, or the TV gets unplugged the TV guide takes over the TV, and keeps turning itself off every 5 minutes, and a big yellow box won't go off the screen, telling us to turn it off so the TV guide plus can program. I turned it off for 2 days, and it is still going bonkers. What a nightmare. Don't buy any TV with TV Guide Plus. Before we got cable the TV Guide Plus wan't even programing properly. It's not worth the extra money. Any suggestions how to turn the feature off pernamently. Insight Cable did something to make their remote finally work, now we've got this stupid yellow box in the bottom half of our screen, and the thing keeps turning itself off after 5 minutes. HELP
