We purchased through Carlson Wagonlits a Princess cruise for our anniversary. We had Princess do everything for us including book our air with USAirways. When our package arrived we questioned the 25 min. layover in Charlotte with a connecting flight to Ft. Lauderdale. Princess told us and our TA this is a legal connection and we were worrying over nothing, all would be OK.

The flight from Indy had machanical problems and the plane was not able to leave. USAirways was unable to get us on another flight intime to catch our ship and Princess would not hold it.

USAirways blames Princess and Princess blames USAirways and the TA and us are in the middle. USAirways said Princess should not have booked us on such a short layover flight and Princess says they do it all the time. Princess will not refund our money at all and they only say they are willing to give us a 75% voucher on a furture trip at best. We did buy insurance but that does not apply for this.

We are now trying with our TA to get the airfare back and our taxes and port charges. Princess will not even discuss a 100% voucher for a furture cruise stating it is againist company policy. We did everything right we depended on Princess and our TA and Princess will not step up to bat and at least give us a 100% voucher on a furture cruise. This was a devafasting experience for us. We wasted 1 weeks vacation each and now can't get out money back. If Princess booked our air and we questioned them on it. We feel they should be willing to at least let us have a voucher for a 100% furture cruise.

We filed a complaint with the BBB in California and they already had a rating of un-satisfactory with the BBB. Many of these complaints were similar to ours. My wife was so upset over this she was unable to unpack until 4 days later and we are at our wits end trying to get portions of uour money back. We saved and saved for this cruise and can't afford to lose this money for a purchased product we feel was not delivered. The reason they offer us 75% at best is because they clain the cruise was delayed and not cancelled. We have told them we did not get off the ground in Indy and USAirways has comfirmed this. If they considered the cruise cancelled they would give us a 100% voucher.

It just does not make any sense. Our TA has stated she has no idea why Princess is taking such a hard line on this. Thanks for reading this and wish us luck..
