Booked a same day (Wednesday August 22, 2018) hotel through Priceline.com. I have stayed in this hotel numerous times and have booked through Priceline. The reservation stated free cancellation. When it went through the date was incorrect and their system had me scheduled for Monday September 3, 2018 (Memorial Day). I noticed the mistake and tried to get in contact right away. I couldn’t get through via live chat or phone so I sent an email. And there was not the ability to cancel. New lay two weeks of talking with Priceline they stayed that the manager of the hotel was only available to talk about the reservation on September 4, the day after the reservation. I talked with the hotel and they said they didn’t have the power to cancel, only Priceline did. Priceline sent me a "contract” that I apparently signed stating no cancellations. So on September 4th, they told me they were keeping my money. They lied, I did not sign that contract and I didn’t schedule the reservation for the date in the system, and they blamed it on the hotel ( the very customers who are making them money). I hear this is common practice for Priceline. Beware!!!! They are thrives.
