May 18, 1999 I had my son's van towed to Pierre's Auto Service & Sales because it was overheating. He told us the van needed a valve job, timing chain and water pump at a cost of 1200.00.

His repair bill showed the following:

New water pump; Timing belt; Head gasket set; timing belt **something; Dist. Cap; Dist. rotor; 6 spark plugs; antifreeze; valve job.

He made a note on the invoice that one piston had no compression and would need lower end engine to be rebuilt. Total Cost of repair was $1212.41.

May 24, 1999 the van overheated and was towed back to his place of business.

His repair bill showed the following:

Install used block, new rings, bearings, 1 piston, 1 head, freeze plugs, oil change, anti freeze, new radiator, dist. cap and rotor. A/C conversion.

Total Bill this time $1,743.78 and the van was ready for pick up on 8/2/99.

When we picked up the van we commented on how it shook and how loud it was. He said that would work it's self out.

In late November we took the van to a second place because he was having transmission problems with a NEW transmission. We were informed that the transmission would not be covered under warranty because the van had over heated and burned the transmission up. We told this company of the work that had just been done on the van. He inspected the van carefully and informed us that the work was never done. The motor had never been pulled and the piston still had no compression. That was why it runs so rough. He said it did have a new radiator and that was about the extent of the repair that we had paid $3,000 for.

I have copies of the bills from Pierre's and I have a notorized letter from the transmission company stating the above to be true and he is willing to go to court for us.
