The battle has been arduous and frustrating for all involved, but angry citizens have been victorious in a significant percentage of cases, and tobacco advertisers have been forced to change their methods. CULTURE JAMMING WORKS! Thank you, Danny Morales of the Office of the Attorney General in Texas for standing up for our rights ala David and Goliath against the tobacco industry corporate giant now reduced to mini-me status.

These anti-tobacco campaigns illustrate the immense power that consumers can display when they act in organized groups. Both tobacco and alcohol advertising have been monitored and attacked by concerned citizens, especially minority groups and women who are targeted by certain cigarette and cosmetic advertising campaigns. Groups of concerned citizens have proven their power, and the corporate giants have been forced to adapt accordingly in the United States.

Meantime, a client of mine, as well as many others, have thousands of Marlboro miles to redeem and CAN"T find an online catalog, anywhere in cyberspace to do so. And to add insult to injury, Phillip Morris induces loyal consumers to a 100 plus questions litany before saying they aren't gonna help you. Granted it's pretty frustrating watching a lung cancer survivor go through it. Can you hear them laughing each time someone calls to redeem their miles?

Anywhoo, he's gonna try boycotting Marlboro and any other products engineered by Phillip Morris, locally at retail, grocery and convenient stores, through cyberspace via venues as such and through the media via local media stations and radio networks even if it takes his last breath away. Hey, maybe then they'll get the point. As it seems it wasn't enough for them to get slammed for addicting kids, now they want to avoid fulfiling their obligations.

Long story short, what comes around...goes around. They'll get their due. Meantime, try to avoid stooping to their level. They aren't worth the aggravation. Simply avoid buying their label products, tell ten friends and whatever you do, avoid espamming them, I know it's hard, but you can hold back. And don't forget to thank Daniel Morales [now retired] of Austin Texas Office of the Attorney General for getting this off the ground in Texas. And do remember to express yourself in that wonderful cultural venue, as my client says..."to the smokey bitter end." Keeping the Faith in Life, Love and Laughter...
