Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
A little while ago, I was contacted on the phone by a representative of Onestopmotors.com named Chuck. Chuck told me that he had people waiting in line to buy a car like mine, and said his company would sell it, take care of financing and shipping, and it would only cost $400, and if they could not sell it within 30 days, my money would be refunded, but they would still attempt to sell it, and if they were successful, they would tap me on the shoulder to pay them their $400. This seems good to me, but first, I checked the Ripoffreport.com, the name seems to be clear! So I agree to this, and make the payment. 30 days had passed, and I hadn't gotten even a call about the car, much less any offers.

So on day 32, I called and asked for a refund, they told me, Sorry! you can only get a refund if you cancel within 30 days. What?!? I explained to them that that's what their salesman told me. She denied that any of their salesman would make such a claim and would not refund my money. As a man strapped for cash the way it is, this drew my ire as they repeatedly denied any attempts to collect.

In addition to not getting refunded, the service I got for what I paid was dismal. The e-bay auction was a joke, auctioned by an E-bay user that had never had a sale in his life. All these claims about incessant phone calls? All true. The salesman that got me was the first to get a-hold of me. Now, just to show you the scam operation at work here, I got 20 calls thereafter from the SAME company, trying to sell me the SAME sales package. I also come to learn that the financing company I was told that Onestopmotors.com utilizes, HAS NEVER HEARD ABOUT ONESTOPMOTORS.COM.

I was badly taken by these guys, and I hope someone gets a suit on these turkeys and soon! Stay away from Onestopmotors.com!

Just to make sure it's not written in the Bank of Nigeria. And thanks for this report, it's a good one. My associates and I are very interested in this report because it directly affects how and with who we'll do business with.

Well now, over a year after I get the snow job from OSM, I am contacted by a customer service rep who says that OSM wants to "extend the olive branch". The deal is this: If I post that they have made peace with me on here (apparently Ripoffreport.com is capable of doing damage!), they will refund me HALF of what they ripped me off of. While half is undesireable, it's better than nothing, it's like receiving $200 anew, since I've moved on financially from their treachery. So I agree to the conditions under this stipulation since, I told him right out, I didn't trust him any farther than I could through him, they must FIRST send me my 1/2 refund, and then I will post resolution. After, my integrity is not in question. He agrees, and promises a check within a week. A week goes by, no check. I call, he says I misheard and he said within 2 weeks. A good possibility, so I wait another week. No Check. I call again, and he tells me that the owner wants to send all refunds out at once, that's what the delay is, that all ripoffreporters haven't checked in yet. He said he had a meeting thursday night to convince the owner to send out the checks they have prepared for the ones that did respond. Allegedly, the checks went out the friday before Thanksgiving, at least, that's what I was told. Here it is, an entire two weeks, he told me to give it 5 days, which I did. After 7 mailing days, there was no check. I called, but the man who called me was 'on the other line' or 'not in yet' or 'at lunch', I left messages with THREE numbers to contact me at...nothing. Finally I left a message issuing an ultimatum, they didn't even bother to call back. I'll still post resolution if they send me what they promised, but I'm not holding my breath.

Tim, When you say "publication" do you mean the FREE ADS you use at adpost.com to "advertise" the vehicles for your "customers"? How do FREE ADS cost $400? Your customers could do that for free! OR, do you mean the other FREE AD site you use called 1800-USA-Cars.com? You STILL have not provided any REAL proof that you actually provide a valuable service equal to the money you charge. Typical scammer. Typical scam. I'm on to you. I know who you really are.

Tim, It makes no difference at all that you say you never claimed to be a car dealer. It is the actions and words used by your sales reps that make the difference between legal and illegal operation. Your reps use the words "we can sell your car...", etc. This makes you an unlicensed car dealer according to NV law. Period. Your reps should say: "we can ADVERTISE your car..." That would be a marginally legal statement, but would not require a dealers license. As soon as you personally enter any aspect of the sale process other than placing the ad for the customer, you need a dealers license. That is the law. Im still waiting for you to show me exactly what publication you use, you know, the one with 8 million readers that you claim. The facts speak for themselves. You are running an online scam that provides no REAL benefit to the consumer. Especially not for upwards of $300, usually $500-$800 is the target price as has been pitched to me via UNSOLICITED calls where you got my name and number from the LEGITIMATE ad I placed at CARS.COM, and the AUTO TRADER. This is how you do "business". FYI..I paid $69 for the cars.com ad and it sold my truck in less than 2 weeks to a qualified cash buyer for full retail value. Please direct me to your "advertising" publication as well as the verified circulation of said publication. This will be interesting, as I already know the answer. You have NONE. You have a website that buyers never see, and cannot browse. Furthermore, please justify the average $400 cost of your "service" and exactly what the customer gets for the money. Please be specific. Also, where did Rob Wilder go? Why is he the only listed officer on the corp filing and business license? Why is he not responding here? I have firm reason to believe that Tim Giffey and Rob Wilder are one and the same. It's just that Rob Wilder has people looking for him for obvious reasons. I look forward to reading more of your lies, and yes, you are a scam artist and your "business" is a scam.

Your Corporation is in DEFAULT since 5/2005. Your representatives present themselves as car dealers when they cold call people. They never say it is an advertising firm. Cars.com and autotrader.com are far superior. I sold my dually on cars.com in less than 2 weeks for full retail price with a qualified buyer for cash. I just don't see the value for your high priced services.

I'd like to take this opportunity to again set the facts straight about our company and what we do. First of all OneStopMotors (OSM) has NEVER claimed to be an automobile dealer anywhere. OSM is an advertising company that provides advertising and additional services to private sellers of automobiles. Steve seems concerned that we do not have an address on our website. Obviously he did not check the "about us" page. Not only does it include our address, but also our CITY OF LAS VEGAS BUSINESS license number. When OSM moved from the Decatur address the license with that address would naturally expire. When OSM moved from their Commercial Center address, the Clark County Business license expired as well. Now that OSM is located in the city of Las Vegas, our license is properly registered there and the number is available to ANYONE that wishes to view it there. I have included the entire "about us" page here: About OneStopMotors.com OneStopMotors.com (OSM) is a Nevada Corporation, operating under City of Las Vegas business license A02-02161. OSM is an active member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. As the one of the originators of the on-line For Sale by Owner cooperative, OSM has brought many innovative services to the table. Additional site postings, keyword optimization, and the unique follow up that we provide, not to mention the access to financing, shipping and extended warranties that we offer on behalf of our clients, all help to level the playing field with the huge number of used auto dealers that abound in the printed media that has, in the past, been the main domain of private sellers of vehicles. OSM's principal offices are located at 2950 South Rancho, Suite 200, Las Vegas NV no more than 5 minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip and less than ten minutes drive from the historic Downtown section of the city, home to the world renowned Fremont Street Experience. OSM's founder Robert Wilder originally began the business in 2002, officially established OneStopMotors.com as a commercial entity in 2003 and formally incorporated in early 2004, and though presently operating with just under 60 staff members, OSM is today perhaps the fastest growing Financing / Advertising firm in Nevada, if not the entire United States! Presently our Customer Service Department operates Monday thru Friday and ALL inquires sent via email - in every instance - will be answered within 24 hours. Email: [email protected] PHONE: (877) 566-6686 FAX: (702) 253-9284 Mailing Address: One Stop Motors Inc. 2950 South Rancho, Suite 200 Las Vegas, Nevada, 89102 As can be plainly seen from the above information, OSM is not a dealer. Steve also claims that OSM is also "Travelzoo" or "Motorzoo". Nothing could be further from the truth. While "Motorzoo" was founded by a FORMER OSM employee, we have no association with that company whatsoever. Steve you still seem to think that OSM is some kind of scam. I invite you to call me directly to discuss whatever concerns you may have. I also invite anyone considering doing business with OSM to contact me with any questions they may have. Show us all your car dealers license as required by law. Thats right. You need to be licensed to sell cars in both the State of NV AND Clark County. What is your State of NV dealer's license#? I lived in Las Vegas for 7 years and I know all about your scam. You scan the ads in the auto trader, and others and call every single customer to offer your "assistance". You do nothing at all for the consumer that they cannot do for themselves. The addresses you advertise are commercial mailbox locations. Show me a PHYSICAL street address AND a local, listed phone # in Las Vegas. You people are con artists and liars and you are operating a scam. The OP obviously just found out about this site as many Rip OFF victims do. It appears that One Stop Motors is also TravelZoo. See all of the other posts here on each and the addresses, as well as my prior rebuttal on those threads. You are busted, con man.

I would like to take the opportunity to address Jon's comments about OneStopMotors (OSM). Jon leads off by saying "A little while ago" thus implying that his sign up with OSM happened recently. Actually Jon signed up in March of last year and is now just getting around to complaining about his advertising with OSM. Jon did indeed order an advertising package with OSM and received every single service that he was told about when he signed up. At the time that he purchased his package with OSM, we did offer a 30 day money back guarantee. The guarantee was this: If the client sold their vehicle on their own, without using the services of OSM and could send in written documentation of the sale for the asking price with OSM or better then their money would be refunded. Our Money back guarantee NEVER involved just cancelling the service. Jon also claims that the service he received was "dismal". His ebay auction was professionally placed with his photos and links to financing and shipping available to anyone that was interested. OSM has sold vehicles through ebay and the fact that Jon chooses to ignore this is beyond comprehension. The other services that Jon received worked perfectly as well. His keyword optimization did indeed bring his vehcile to the top of major search engines no matter how many results were returned. OSm has constantly work on improvements to our client's websites with us as well and just one of the improvements we've made is the addition of a "make an offer" option right on each client's site. This allows OSM to collect potential buyer's information and pass it quickly on to the seller. Jon's vehicle was also posted to several websites that automobile enthusiats frequent and, again, these services were not even available when Jon signed up with OSM. Jon's vehicle is still listed with us and he has never had to invest another penny or even call to renew. It is OSM's contention that this report was actually prompted by a contact he received from someone who has been violating a cease and desist order and contacting OSM clients prompting them to complain to various organizations. This individual, who has commented on some of the reports on this site, has been spreading outright lies and statements with no basis in fact about OSM. Perhaps the people believing this individual would do well to actually research the information that they are basing their complaints on. Unlike the vast majority of the people who post to this site, I have no problem placing my contact information here, please feel free to contact me with your questions.
