Melody's Felony Conviction ..Olen Bench...Bench Company, Inc. a history of using the courts for revenge against friends and enemies alike
Melody Wagstaff, my fiancee', is having to plead guilty to embezzlement charges. Her former employer, Bench Company, Olen Bench(owner)hired her as office manager and gave her permission to write and sign checks and cash his checks,VERBAL PERMISSION ONLY.
He cheated on his wife and got divorced and met Callie from Sulphur, LA. He's now married to her. He is probably cheating on her now.
Callie hated Melody from the start and convinced Olen that she was going to break Melody. They filed charges of embezzelment in the Ft Bend, TX court system. They have a history of using the courts for revenge against friends and enemies alike.
Olen Bench cheated Melody out of her last two(2) weeks pay. Held her against her will. Rifled her purse, stole her briefcase and personal property within.
Her lawyer, Larry McDougal of Stafford, TX is absolutely no help. He has charged her over $10,000 and now recommending she plead guilty. I think he and Olen are now golfing buddies. Larry charged us an additional $1500 for Olen and Callie's deposition. He got half through with Olen's deposition, Olen refused to answer questions. (Melody has a lot of damning evidence against Olen) End of story. The lawyer did not even protest and Callie was never deposed.
We go to court on 16 May 2000, she will have to pay $10,000 restitution, $500 fine, 2 years probation and 150 hours community service. The DA demanded no deferred adjudication, she will have been convicted of a felony.
This woman is not guilty. The DA has circumstantial evidence(bank records) and Melody's lawyer hasn't the balls to take the DA on.
We are filing a greivance with the State Bar against Larry Mc Dougal.....After May 16. We don't want the lawyer going after her at the same time the DA is dragging her through the dirt.
I don't know what her chance is of an appeal. More money to pay, but not to Larry Mc Dougal.
