I PURCHASED A SHOWTIME ROTISSIERE OVER THE THE PHONE ON JANUARY 8, 2000 USING MY VISA CARD -- NEVER RECEIVED THE ROTISSIERE -- CALLED THEM AFTER A MONTH AND SAID IF I DID NOT RECEIVE IT BY FEBRUARY 14, 2000 THEY WOULD CALL ME AND WOULD SEND OUT ANOTHER ONE -- WELL, IT IS NOW MARCH 17, 2000. NO ROTISSIERE -- NO MONEY AND NO RESPONSE. I HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO CONTACT THEM BY PHONE WHICH IS ALWAYS BUSY AND BY E-MAIL WITH NO RESPONSE. I ALSO PAID FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING $30.00 BECAUSE THEY SAID THAT YOU COULD NOT BUY THEM IN STORES -- WELL, YOU CAN BUY THEM IN STORES AND I COULD HAVE AND SHOULD HAVE CUZ RIGHT NOW I WOULD HAVE A ROTISSIERE IN MY HOME INSTEAD OF A DEBIT FROM MY VISA CARD AND NOTHING TO SHOW FOR. IF YOU CAN, PLEASE HELP ME.

After being brain washed by "set it and forget it" I went and placed an order to buy the Showtime Rotisserie "Model 3000-T" from ronco.com. Nothing in the web-pages tells you when to expect your shipment till you already placed your order, i.e. your money is gone! It says that it will take 6-8 weeks! and guess how much I was charged to S&H? 36$!!!! from CA to LA 36$!!!! I sent the Customer services an email objecting on this issue, no reply! another email and again no reply! I called their 800 number and a message saying "Only those who placed their order before 4 weeks can check the status of their order!" Being a good boy, I decided to shut up and wait for my order to arrive. After around 5 weeks of waiting, I had my oven! and guess what? it is NOT what I saw on TV. It is NOT what Mr. Ronco was pitching about! it is smaller! I then remembered what Mr. Ronco said during his brain wash AD, he said:" if it isn't the best you ever had, I don't want you to keep it! please return it to us and do get your money back" I picked the phone and called their 800 number and told them I want to return the BBQ oven, and the following conversation took place: Ronco: and why would you want to return it sir? me: it is not what I saw on... Ronco(interepting me as he expected what I would say): I am sorry sir but it IS what you saw on TV! me: what? I told it is not! Ronco: Sir, did you want to buy the bigger model the 4000-T? me: I wanted what I saw on TV, the ones that I saw on TV were BIG, the one you sent me is SMALL! Ronco:..hmm actually the big ones you saw on TV are just a back-display, he did not advertise for them, beside he said at the start of the AD that this is a small oven! me: well if he did not advertise for them, why put them their in the first place? I saw this AD starting over for more than 5 times and never catched it when he say a small oven?.. Ronco: I am sorry sir, but he said it! me: fine fine.. I want to return it Ronco: Sure. Sit, here is the return authorization number XXXXX. me: I am going to get what paid for this, right? Ronco: less the S&H of course! me: WHAT? you mean my 36$ that I paid you to ship me this oven is gone? Ronco: Yes sir, plus you need to ship it back to us at your own expense. me:...(I was stunned!) Ronco: sir? me:...eehh yes.. let me ask you this, why did you make me pay 36$ for shipping it from CA to LA? isn't that a bit exorbitant? Ronco: Actually sir, we have flat rate for shipping to all states! me:why? Ronco: that's our policy! me(after reaching the boiling point, but still holding up):ok ..ok.. fine. Ronco: Is there any thing else I can help you with sir? me: no thanks..! next day I picked the same box and went to postal office and shipped it back to them. I paied 22$ only!!!! Ronco ripped me off for 36$ in S&H!!!! HEH... so they are making 11$ of EVERY returned order!!! I lost 22+36=58$ in this process!.. Mr. Ronco, Is this what you meant by "DO GET YOUR MONEY BACK???" I am posting this here for others to be aware of this AD.. set and forget it.. should be SELL IT AND FORGET IT!!
