Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
National Assets Recovery has been calling my home - leaving rude & harrassing messages. They LIED to my house sitter & said it was an emergency - to recieve my CELL PHONE NUMBER. now they call my home 3 - 6 times per night & call my cell phone several times a day trying to get me to send them MONEY!!!

They have tried to say they are representing a local store in the area, but I ahve contacted the store & this is UNTRUE!

This is a FALSE COMPANY - scamming people out of money.

I have CONTACTED MY STATE POLICE and plan to file harrassment by communication charges ----

If this company is calling you - I ADVISE you do the same!

The first reason is the obvious one. Jurisdiction. If the offender is outside of your jurisdictional area like in another country or state, they cannot do anything for you. Legally. The second is that no REAL crime has taken place. I have been down this road too many times. Heres what you do. Read some of my other posts here on ROR in the collection agency category. Follow the directions exactly as provided and send the "CEASE COMMUNICATION" letter as per your legal right under federal law. You can read of these rights at the ftc website in the FDCPA. The second solution is no stop your housesitter from answering your phone, or at least leave a list of people authorized to have your cell phone#, or other instructions. Or you can call thier numbers several dozen times per day and/or saturate all known fax#'s for them with your cease communication request. That way they cannot say they didn't get it! Have fun with these morons.

It sounds like you have it under control. We hope you can update us with good news, that this matter has since been resolved. Just the same, it might be helpful for law enforcement and you to have this informtion. Mr. Matthew Carlisle is the Operations Manager for National Asset Recovery. This might help for them to have a person to start out with, if necessary. His phone number is: 1-678-578-1800 and his FAX: 1-678-578-1801. Those numbers are the same except for the last to digits. Here is their business address: National Asset Recovery 2880 Dresden Drive Suite 200 Atlanta, GA, 30341 Here is another possible address for their Financial Retrieval Services, of a different kind: National Asset Recovery 1530 Adams Street NE Minneapolis, MN 55413-1444 Mr. Russel Thomas is the Owner/Manager and Customer Contact. I probably should have posted his contact informtion first, but I've doubled over, trying to save on ink and paper. His phone is: 1-702-000?-0230 He also handles Prize Promotions. Law enforcement might be able to better determine his link to the other division. It is unknown as to whether this corporation has a license to operate, which needs to be considered. Here is his address: National Asset Recovery 9030 W. Sahara Avenue Las Vegas, NV, 89108 To inquire further information just access the onlineBBB. The sole proprietor of a newer National Asset Recovery is Mr. John Lane, Owner. His number 1-800-642-8789. This is not a franchize, but the nature of the links between all is unclear at this point, except that they share the same name, and work in retrieval type financing. There is also a possibility this division operates without a license. Well, hope this helps. Please get back to us, and let us know how this turns out, because stalking and phone harassment are illegal and unacceptable. Consumer Advocate Rip-off Report Volunteer
