As a previous employee who was ripped off by Advance Auto Parts. I thought it would only be fair to tell people what is really going on with Advance Auto Parts eSerivice sales department.

For anyone who is thinking about buying Motologic beware! They have very little information on the online diagnositc repair especially when compaired to Mitchell and Alldata. On the other hand if you have already made the mistake of purchasing Motologic you can get it for way less. Just call and tell them you want to cancel. If you do this they will offer you Motoloic at $29.95 (still not really worth it)

Beware of MotoRev!!! The guarentee is all based on taking credit for your customers!! If Motorev emails your customers (who are going to come in already) and they come in after they emailed. (Emplyees are trained to aviod questions about this at all costs) They just took credit for that revenue towards the guarentee!! Plus they rarely hit the guarentee!! What they dont tell you is it is your job to mail in a letter to get reimbursed for the $249.00. Employees will NEVER tell you about this on the phone!!

Never say yes!!! They have voice authorization over the phone and they will push thru your sale at all costs! If you still want to do business ask for everything in writing before you say yes (verbal authorization). I hope this helps consumers from making the mistake of purchasing any of their eservices.

I'm a former employee of MotoShop/Advance Auto Parts. Am I disgruntled? You bet! I started in March of this year and was terminated mid June. I had a stretch of bad luck over those few months that caused me to miss a few days. Flu, court and on my final day a blown up motor so I couldn't get to the office. I booked enough business in May that earned me $2,000+ in commissions (over 1/2 my income). They let me go on the 16th and cited some obscure clause in my original paperwork stating that if I'm not a team member on the day checks are cut the commission is forfeited. Checks were cut on the 18th, how convenient huh? If you are a sales professional, DO NOT trust these guys. There are only a couple of people that consistentlyMAKE MONEYRipoffreport Report Image, the rest struggle. That's the personal side.

 

On the Business side: This my opinion, don't want to get hit with libel. The product they sell is crap compared to Alldata, Mitchell & Identifix. It lacks content and is difficult to use by comparison. While there, I talked to several employees who work on the back end, the customer service side, that were amazed anyone actually kept the service for any period of time. Especially MotoRev. All of their programs lack functionality and have little hope of keeping up. I believe I spoke with 2 shops, over 3 months, that actually liked thePROGRAMRipoffreport Report Image. To echo a previous post, if you're one of the few that do like Logic, threaten to cancel, you'll get it for $29/month for 3 months and then $49 for 3 more. Sales people & auto shops, beware of this company.

These guys ripped me off too!! They owed me a check for sales and I could not pick it up when checks are issued. This is what they said even tho I made the sales since I wasn't there to pick up my check they did not have to pay me. This is how Advance treats their employees. I then emailed the president/CEO of Advance. A day later all of the employees were told they were not allowed to speak to me... Well I hope the loss in sales from who ever posted this pays for what they owe me and more!!  WARNING MOTOLOGIC IS HORRIBLE!!! Be smart and sign up for Alldata, Mitchel or Indentafix. At least you get what you pay for. Motologic has such limited data its rediculus!! But if you have already been ripped off. Just call and cancel and you can get the service for $29.99 you just have to talk to their retention team first! People who are thinking about working here beware of Arnold Gold the owner and his son (nepotism much?) Austin Gold. They  will rip you off and will turn their back on you the second you need them most!! Also just so you know Arnold Gold was the founder of Identafix.... I hope this prevents potential customers and employees from getting ripped off by this horrible company.
