Fraud on Yahoo Auctions. Paid for Bose Home Theater System on Yahoo Auctions But, Never got the system. The seller Mike Fazlo turned out to be a fraud.
Hello,
I bought a Bose Acoustimass 15 Series II Speaker System in Yahoo Auctions. The Seller asked me to send the winning amount of $840/- to his P.O.Box Address as a postal money order.
The address he gave was

P.O.Box 135
Agoura Hills
CA 91376-0135
He comunicated to me through e-mail with a email address [email protected]. Once he recieved the money order, e-mails sent to his email account got bounced.In Yahoo Auctions he was selling items with a id BoseDealer333.I got ripped off. I paid $840/- and got nothing. I have done a little research on Yahoo Auctions and found that there were hundreds of people who lost their money on Yahoo Auctions. I have checked the previous Auctions page on Yahoo and found out that fifty people have got ripped off in the months of september and october on Home Theater Systems alone. I Have filed a case in the internet fraud center and the case number is 100100611101244
What have I learnt?
Yahoo Auctions is very risky and Yahoo cannot help the buyers in any way if they get riped off. It's very unsafe to buy on Yahoo Auctions. Don't send Postal Money orders or Cashiers Checks talk to the seller by phone and send only checks or COD's.
Keep away from Yahoo Auctions if large amount is involved.
