I purchased a 1997 Chevy Silverado on Sat. October 14, 2000 & since then have discoved that the truck gives constant odor that is very strong, I would describe as burning oil. In addition, there is a constant vibration in the steering wheel when hitting the speed of 55 plus miles per hour. For these reasons I do not feel comfortable driving the truck and I am concerned that there may be serious and costly defects.
On October 16th I called Midway to report the problems and express my concerns. Their response was to bring it in & they would check it out. We live 48 miles from Midway therefore just want to return the truck with no obligation to Midway. They refused our request even though it has been less than 3 days.
Again, I called them the following day to notify them of the problem.
When I purchased the truck the salesmen said, don't worry, if you have a problem with the vehicle, just bring it on in and we'll take care of it.
Midway does not keep their word.
