Last July my son's car was parked in an automotive repair shop on Main St in Mesa (Wes's Automotive) and the rims/wheels were stolen off (all 4!!). He does have a video camera scanning the parking lot, yet he never mentioned this, and claims no responsibilty for the theft, and would not give me the name of his insurance company, stating he is not responisible for cars on the lot (which isnt fenced). The MetLife which I had insurance through, refused the claim... I had called them at the end of June to cancel the full coverage because I explained to them the car wasnt drivable, I just needed the type of insurance that would cover vandalism, theft, acts of God (hail etc)...they gave me liability I believe its called, and so when I called the claim in, they said I had only the kind that would cover if he hit someone, and after repeated phone calls they said sorry...I didnt have THEFT, and that's what I told them I needed when I changed the policy!! Also, they took out the full amount for the coverage on July 8th from my checking acct. because "it was too late to stop the charge, but I was billed less Aug 8th due to the change that was made at the end of June!! They were like talking to a brick wall!! And they were expensive wheels/tires!!
