ROTO-ROOTER ROTO-ROOTER PLUMBERS They quote you a price then they pretend to try fix the problem & then go up 5X the original price. ROME Georgia
I paid these guys $165 for about 15 mins of so-called work to clear a drain line. They ran a drain snake with a bent cutter through 1 time and said that they could not clear the line without charging an additional $400 to "jet it out".
I asked them to run the snake through it again and they refused saying they would have to charge another $165 & that I might as well go ahead and pay the additional $400 to get it "jetted". I paid them the $165 that they said was due.
After they left I put a garden hose in it and pushed it through the clog with the water running, after a few minutes of pushing and pulling on the garden hose the clog broke and the standing water rapidly drained into the sewer. If I had known I was going to have to do the job myself I'd never have called Roto-Rooter.
Beware of Roto-Rooter in Cartersville, Ga(the yellowbook & yellowpages says they are in Cartersville, GA however they are not. Actually they seem to be from Rome, Ga. I could not find an address for them anywhere(not on the reciept, either), though google maps pointed to Turner McCall Blvd in Rome, Ga.
Absolutely the worse plumbers whom I've ever encountered. They give you a quote over the phone then they come out and pretend to try an fix the problem & then give you an estimate for a much higher amount and tell you to call them when come up with more money.
