I bought the washer late April 2017. In May, I called Maytag to say it wasn't cleaning the clothes. They said to change the settings. I did, but left town shortly after. Upon returning several months later, same problem with new settings. Called Maytag who sent out a repairman. repairman said it was running, but government regulations said it could not use much water. I showed him the dirty clothes, with obvious streaks and residue, saying this was not acceptable. A machine warranted to be a washer must wash. He ignored that statement, saying it was going through the cycles. The 3" of water that the machine filled with was apparently mandated by our government to be all the machine would accept. Never did he address the dirt. Called Maytag and they said if it was not repairable, they would replace it. I asked if this meant it would not go through the cycle or the machine was not doing as intended- wash clothes. Maytag sidestepped the the question. She suggested I call the selling agent to see if they would do anything, as Maytag would not.
