I purchased a bookcase bed for my son in August 2012. I was very happy because Marlo was having a 50% off sale and I got a good deal. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks but I didn't mind because I was going to save it for a big surprise for my son on Christmas.

Well about 7 weeks passed and I was wondering when the furniture was coming so I called the store. I was told that they would check into the matter and call me back. Well I didn't get a call so I called back. I then was told that the problem was that my phone number was a non working number. I then asked what number they had. The number they had was off by 1 number. The sales associate must have made an error when typing in my number.

Well I finally received my furniture sometime in October and put it in storage to save for Christmas. Unfortunately I had two deaths in the family in December and my sons room was put on hold.

I decided to remodel my sons room for his birthday which was March 16th. I wanted it to be a surprise. After the room was painted and new carpet was installed we were excited to put his new bookcase bed together. Well, that's when the nightmare started. Marlo sent me only half the set. I called the store and John the sales associate who sold me the furniture appologized and told me that they made a mistake and only used 1 sku number for both pieces and they should have used 1. He told me the set wad discontinued and I could come get the floor display.

Well, the nightmare gets even scarier. When I arrived at the store, with my truck driver(that I was paying) ,I was met by John. He then tells me he just discovered that the floor display was gone. II then wanted to scream. I asked to speak to the manager who was apparently hiding. When JR, the manager, started speaking I knew that he didn't know anything about customer service. He was rude, condescending, and didn't care about the situation at all. He then told me I only paid for the bookshelf not the bed. John explained that he sold both to me and it was put in incorrectly in the computer. He cut John off and told me that it's the customers responsibility to inspect the boxes. He then walked away laughing.

My son came home to a beautiful room without a bed. His birthday was ruined. I'm not looking forward to dealing with corporate after reading reviews. If I read reviews before my purchase my son would have a bed and not a sleeping bag!!!
