MAID BRIGADE rip off , scam Internet
I hired this company to clean my house and had never used them before. They gave me a phone " Estimate" after I gave them detailed information as to what I wanted. they told me I would be charged by the hour for the cleaning services but that based on their experience and the size house, they said it would be approximately $ 277.00 incl. tax with a $25.00 off coupon. This equates to $130.00 per hour ! But they said it would take 2:15 minutes with 3 cleaning ladies. I decided to splurge and have my house cleaned really good ( or so I thought). A team of 3 arrived at 2:45 p.m. . One maid spoke little English and before walking past my front door, she asked me " Can we stay longer than time ?" I responded don't you want to look at the house first. She said "No". I told them no that I thought the agreed time was fine and to call if there were any problems. With 25 minutes left in our agreed time, the company calls me at work and says that the maids need additional time because they couldnt finish and it would be charged on an hourly basis of $130.00 per hour more. I asked what they had gotten done in the alotted time and it was 1/2 the master bathroom, and 1 upstairs small bathroom, vacuuming one room and mopping the wood entry way. NOTHING ELSE HAD BEEN TOUCHED!
The excuse was they had to wash the baseboards. ( the baseboards were not done when i went home) No living room, no kitchen, no hall bath, no dusting, no vacuuming anywhere else. They left my hall bath a mess when they cleaned their mop out in the sink and left it there. I instructed them not to even touch my kids rooms so they only had one bedroom to clean. The sales lady who called me was trying to get me to commit to additional time so it would have ended up costing me another 1.5 hours at $130.00 hour. The total would have been $520.00 !!! . I have a 2,300 sq. ft. home and 2 of the bedrooms were not included. I ended up paying $277.00 for what I explained above. They charged my credit card up front. I got nowhere with the office manager. She seemed very unconcenred that I was dissatified and could care less whether or not I reported this. She refused any type of refund. Basically - too bad. I feel like a fool for getting scammed into this deal. I have spent so much time trying to resolve this to no avail. I am a busy mom who works full time in the legal field. I was trying to treat myself and eliviate stress of Thanksgiving approaching. This whole experience was a nightmare. My daughter and I ended up deep cleaning that same night for 1.5 hours and got everything accompllished but imagine how mad I was coming home and knowing I had been charged $277.00 and having to clean my house that night.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I am a reasonable person and this was a very unreasonable company to deal with. Michelle Arlington, Texas. Thye definitely have sales tactics that are deceptive and used to inflate their income per job.
