In September of this year, my husband and I were visited by the Food Consultant Randy P. We were interested in this type of home service so we were not pressured into anything, but we were given a lot of false promises by the Rep Randy and his "manager" Tommy so that he could get the sale.

There was a similar company that 60 minutes or Dateline did a show on - Colorado Prime. The rep told us that the owner Tony used to be the VP of this company - who was exposed as a RIP OFF company. Should have listened to the warning bells.

When it came time to fill out the paperwork, Randy handed us a document that he wanted us to put our SS#'s on. I told him absolutely not, that we were going to be buying a home and could not have anything on our credit. We also stated we would be moving in a few months and did not want to to move that big freezer.

He then called Tommy who said it would be okay for us to submit a copy of our credit report and that they would finance us themselves - "they do this all the time." Also, we would just need to give a 48 hour notice and they would move the freezer.

The next day I took the first page of our credit report, blocked out our SS#'s and faxed it over (unknown to me at the time, I missed a few spots where we failed to block out our SS#"s.)

In November when it was time to do the loan paperwork, the lender tells us our score has dropped from 651 to 619. When they go line by line on the report to see the problem, the discover First Financial has hit our credit for over $4000.

I start investigating and discover it is LTT Foods - who has against the law - submitted us for credit with this company.

After dragging their feet for two weeks, the owner Tony pays off our account so that we can get a letter stating we do not owe the money for the lender. During this time Tony, who is not very customer service oriented - states after this we can keep the service or we can cancel, he does not care.

The two week delay cost us time and we were not able to get the loan because of the gross mistake on the part of LTT. Now our mortgage is $300 more a month because of it.

Once the account was paid off by Tony, (for the first time a return call) Tony states that because he paid this, we had to pay in full for the freezer.

Also, they state in the sales pitch that you get a $100 referral for every friend you get to sign up. But what they don't tell you is that you get the $100 off your next purchase. So when you discover what crooks they are and don't sign up, they get out of paying the referral fee.

Also, they state that they 100% guarantee the food. You just call and let them know that you were unhappy and they will replace it. What really happens is they tell you that they will replace it - on your next food order - again another way to get out of having to replace bad meat.

But I am not finished with the story, there is more.

When the time came to move the freezer, I called to make an appointment. A week later with still no return phone calls, I call back mad. I finally get to speak to Vaughn (customer service rep - not)

He schedules an appointment and gives me a two-hour window. I explain that I do not live there anymore and cannot just hang around outstide for two hours. He says they will call when they are a half hour away so that I can get there.

When 2:00 rolls around the day of the move and no one has called or showed, I call the main office only to discover they are closed until 1/3/05.

They have not followed through or made good on any promises they made. If you call and complain, you are the bad guy.

In response to the complaint submitted on January 3, 2005. When Cassie signed up for the service, she was never promised anything other than the fact of we will supply her with higher quality food and that she needed us to move her freezer. Fact of the matter is that she provided us a copy of her credit report with her social security #s on it and thought that would be easier then pulling a whole new report, since she alresdy had one. She then called us one to two months later crying that she was going to be homeless because of her credit problems, and continued calling three to four times a day because she was going to get thrown out of her house. After lengthy negotiations with the finance company which is not called First Financial which makes us wonder if this had anything to do with us. We convinced them to sell the deal back to us. Cassie said that would solve all of her problems. We then asked her if she still wanted the service. She indicated that she did. We decided to keep the account as an in house account which we normally do not do.Cassie was to make payments to us. Cassie bounced the payment to us. We have never dealt with a company called First Financial so we do not know what Cassie is talking about. We tried to help her out and did everything in our power that she wanted and this is the thanks we get. Also we did move the freezer for her, we told her we would move it, as long as she was current on her bill. When she finally became current we gladly moved it for her. The other thing I would like to rebuttal is the fact that the is that the $100 for each friend they have sign up is off of the next order, and the sheet which she gave the referrals on clearly states that and has her signature on it and is in my office if anyone would like to see it. Any exchanges a customer needs is taken care of immediately and the customer is asked if it can be made on reorder. This is clearly an unnecessary shot at Ltt Gourmet Foods and this complaint has been forwarded to th legal dept. to be handled promptly.
