LIBERTY TRAVEL DEPTFORD NJ RIPS OFF FAMILIES AND SENIOR CITIZENS Deptford New Jersey
We booked a trip through Liberty travel for Disney World March 0f 2007.
While booking this trip we expressed interest in the Disney meal plan. A free meal plan was offered by Disney beginning April 13 thru June 24, 2007 for travel from August 30.2007 thru Sept. 22, 2007. Our agent never informed us of this deal. We kept in constant contact with the travel agent every three weeks to see if a plan became available. Her answer was "No there is no meal plan being offered." At this time we also booked a car through Liberty Travel with Alamo Car rental. After running the numbers for a quote ourselves we found the same car for 12 days 296.00 cheaper. I immediately contacted Liberty Travel to inform them. Our agent had an attitude that we went behind her and ran our own quote, she had to readjust our reservation. After contacting Disney personally we were informed that, had Liberty Travel done their job they would have kept us apprised of the meal plan. Disney stated that numerous other companies called and adjusted the reservations. Liberty Travel refused to rectify their mistake. This is a blatant disregard for senior citizens and families in general. We wanted to go on this trip with our granddaughter in the worst way but Liberty Travel basically stole over three thousand dollars out of our mouth and pockets. The bright side is an attorney instructed us to eat at the same restaurants and keep all receipts. We plan on filing legal action against Liberty Travel.
