Level Propane is a ripoff. They added 75.00 more to my bill cause my tank was empty. They said it was for a leak test they have to do. I use my tank for 3 years now why would it change things just cause I run out. And it took them 3 days to bring it out. Also my price keeps gone up. I think I should get my 75.00 back it is not fair. I am changing to another company that don't rip off.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Tue, March 30, 2004

I feel for everyone who was ripped off and cheated by Level Propane. I am an ex-employee of the gas company from hell. A delivery driver and myself were the only two employees were stationed at one plant to cover 6 counties in Indiana with over 600 customers. We needed at least one more delivery driver to help accomodate all the people. Level flat out told us that it was not possible to fill such a request because one person can handle 600 customers. I told them it was impossible in the winter time when gas usage was higher. I was threatened with the loss of my job if I kept it up. I want everyone to know that what happened to you was the result of Level HQ, not the employees. We tried the best we could to get everyone gas and service. I witnessed first hand how they ripped off customers by raising prices and ignoring signed contracts. I fought for the customers that I felt were being wronged by the same company I worked for. I did not remove tanks from homes that had small children, telling the company the a big dog was tied to the tank and could not reach it. The company really did not know what it was doing. As an example, I was stationed at a plant in central Indiana. Had an order to install a tank and bury a line in southern Indiana. The same day a Level plant in Kentucky had orders to set a tank less than 10 miles from the plant I was working from. They send me to a Kentucky coverage area and they send them to my coverage area. One day I was filling in for the delivery driver. They sent me 2 hours away to fill tanks in another county. I fill 1 tank and I get a message over their stupid Quallcom system that a tank in my county needs filled ASAP. I go to fill it and get another message that a tank in the county I was in earlier had a tank that needed filled ASAP also. I thought, "OMG, How screwed up is this company?" Then there was the time I recieved a message that a tank needed filled in New York, now I am working out of Indiana. They were very serious about sending me or I would lose my job. After about an hour of trying to explain their geographical error they finally sent the order to someone else in New York. These are just a few reasons why Level Propane was what it was, screwed up. I want to appologize to everyone in the Franklin Level plant area. I tried my best to make everyone happy but my hands were tied by jerks in Level HQ.
