Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My husband and I responded to an advertisement sent to us in the mail. This was a weekend sale. When we went in the salesman was so nice to us and let us drive several different vehicles. We finally decided to try and get into a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. This particular model was a demo and had approx. 5400 miles on it. It was listed at just over $33,000.00

The salesman was new and kept wanting to immediately run a credit report on my husband, whose name we would be applying for credit in. I explained that until we were quoted a price on the vehicle and could decide if in fact we wanted to pursue this we did not want our credit run because everytime you run our credit it drops our credit score. I explained this over and over and over and still could get no where with the young man. I finally got up and walked out.

My husband joined me in a few minutes and said that the head salesman would speak with us. I reluctantly agreed to go back inside. Big Mistake!!!!!!! We basically went through this same scenario with this salesman. When I asked how much they would come off the price since it was a demo with several thousand miles on it;I was told not to worry about the price as long as he could get our payments where we wanted them to be.

Obviously he took me for an idiot. I knew how much my husband really wanted this vehicle so I sat quietly for over 2 hours while this salesman ran back and forth trying to get us financed.

Finally we were escorted to the finance dept and met with an absolutely delightful man that told us how much our payments would be through GMAC and what our rebates and trade-in would total. We agreed that we wanted to stick with GMAC financing even though the payments were a bit higher than what we wanted so that we could establish good credit with this particular lender. Paperwork was generated and signed. Again, I paused because at no point did the finance person talk about the interest rates or read the terms of the agreement to us as most would but quite honestly he kept us so busy laughing that we thought nothing of it.

The problems started several days later when they started calling us wanting verification of our phone bill, light bill, and my husband's wages. I explained we were told the financing was already done through GMAC and was told they were trying to find a lender. I faxed the information they requested and was called back and told they could not read my husband's YTD income on the checks. I explained that these were copies and I would try again. Which to date I have done at least three more times.

It has now been some 12 days that I have had this vehicle and I have been told over and over and over "nothing to worry about" "just let me take care of this-don't worry". I have yet to get a confirmation of finance and to boot they have had my vehicle which they told me would be immediately paid off all this time - no pay off. I now owe another payment on that vehicle plus I am out the money that I have had to put up to insure the new vehicle.

I will never deal with Landmark Chevrolet. If they have the last vehicle in town to be bought then I'll ride a horse.
