I love that this will show up anytime someone does an internet search on Landmark Chevrolet! They were incredibly fradulent with me and my husband.

First of all they pulled our credit without a signed credit application, over the phone, and violated our privacy laws.

Second of all, they told us that we were approved for our new truck, we signed the papers(which included our interest rate, lender, date of lien, payment amount, and start date), and drove home our new truck on a Friday.

We talked with them on Saturday, because they had accidentally kept one of our TXDLs. They said Congratulations!, and once again, led us to belive this was a done deal.

I phoned and faxed the credit manager on Monday, reminding him the date the payoff on our trade was good through. No one told us there were any problems, and why should we have thought there were any? We had been told, systemically, from the salesman, manager and credit manager that this was a done deal the previous Friday. Who on Earth would take home a truck they didnt own?

On Wednesday afternoon, I got a call. FIVE DAYS LATER!They said they didnt phone my husband because they thought he might be out of town. I honestly think they were scared of my husband because their word was NO GOOD, and my husbands a big guy. What if my husband had went out of the state in the truck he was told he OWNED?

My salesman said that he needed copies of our light bills, deeds, and check stubbs. I was shocked and asked why on Earth he would need those items for a truck we already owned?! He said, look you need to get me these things and Oh, we also cannot take your trade! youll need to let it go back to the finance company. It wont hurt your credit after 12 months!!!!

I started crying and called my husband. My husband took the truck back to them because their word was NO GOOD. We had insured this truck and showed it to our families! They callously said this isnt DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES because you signed a paper with some fine print you should have read.

Why would credit approval have applied to us when we had already been financed? Because of the way they kept stating DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES, I immediately looked it up, and filed with every agency we needed to.

As a note, I only filed with the BBB, FTC, and Office of the Attorney General, after the general manager would not even return my calls.

i hope every potential buyer out there who comes across this take their hard earned business and good credit elsewhere! Stand up for hardworking, honest people and buy your Chevrolet someplace else!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

It's too bad that the OP got hooked into the spot delivery scam, it must have been embarassing to say the least. But Bro, give it a rest. I financed my Avalanche thru the dealer at 0%, no big deal. Why would you say a stupid thing like that? I have financed all my vehicles thru the dealers, and never had a problem. But I have good credit, that is the catch. What you should say is, if you have questionable credit, do NOT take delivery on the vehicle until the loan is approved. You people know if you have less than perfect credit, and you also know that you probably do NOT qualify for a car loan at 8% or less, so why believe the dealer when they say 'No Problem'? If you have credit issues, pick out your car, tell the dealer you will not take it home until the loan is 100% approved. Talk to the finance company/bank in person that the dealer financed the car thru, and verify that it is a done deal. Then take your car home and show it off.
