Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My husband & I recently purchased 5 beautiful and VERY expensives tables from Kincaid Furniture Galleries in Stroudsburg, Pa. Unfortunately thats not what was delivered. What we received was 5 pieces of furniture where 3 were damaged. The entertainment unit was successfully fixed by their so-called furniture repairman. The other 2 pieces were too damaged and needed to be replaced.

The store owner went back to the store and bought us another coffee table which had a problem with the finish, there was no shine. The store owner said his so-called furniture repairman could fix it, well after taking steel wool to the table top he succeeded in totally ruining the table. So now they had to reorder a new end table & table top for the coffee table.

After being told the tables would be delivered within 7-10 days by the store owner they were in fact delivered closer to 4 weeks later. And that was after my repeated calls to the store owner, who mostly ignored my calls and rarely returned them. When the new tables were finally delivered the end table was fine but the store owner told us that they couldnt replace the table top on the coffee table in my home and they would have to take the table back to the shop to fix it.

He proceeded to take us outside to show us the table top which was in excellent condition. My husband & I were both happy with the table top. Unfortunately that was not the table top they bought back to us two days later. We have no idea what was done to the table top but suspect the so-called repairman had something to do with it again. This table top looks as if someone rubbed part of the stain off one side of the table because the color is so uneven, there are also little bubbles in the wood that look as if they will peel and also again there is no shine to the table top, it is lack luster. Even after polishing the table to no avail you cannot put a shine on that table. This was definitely not the same table top the store owner showed us 2 days earlier.

When I proceeded to tell him of my dissatisfaction he became rude & unprofessional acting as if the damage to the table were my fault! He than walked out, leaving the damaged table behind. Everyone who has come into my home since than has commented on the piece of garbage that now sits in my livingroom.

My husband called the 800 number to speak to a representative of the manufacturer, which is a branch of Lazy-Boy, the representative called the store owner and in a 3 way call asked him to pick up the table and bring it back to the store so a representative could come and look at it. He refused. My husband than called a local restoration co. to see if anything could be done with the table. Upon hearing where we bought the table the man said he had already fixed 5 tables for dissatisfied customers of Kincaid Furniture Galleries.

We feel that when you spend that much money on something you are entitled to the quality that you paid for and thats not what we received. Its a shame that once these people have your hard earned money in their hands they couldnt care less about you or your furniture. We do not think thats its unfair to expect total replacement of the damaged table since we are not responsible for the damage.

If not total replacement of the table we feel we are entitled to a full refund for all of the tables and tables will be returned to the store owner.
