This is to alert consumers in the Springfield MA/Hartford CT area about the poor communication and poor service of Collegiate Carpet, headed by Kevin Slusser. Slusser does not use writing for anything but his bills; refuses to answer email, fax, or certified mail sent to him by consumers. On the other hand, he claims he cannot reach customer by phone, even trying several times a day; will not respond when asked why he does not try contacting customers in writing.
Slusser's company has a "100% satisfaction guarantee" but his way around it is to claim that he cannot gain access to house/consumer by phone (see above) to "finish the job". Repeated attempts to get dates of his phone calls to us/attempts to enter the house are met with silence, primarily because he refuses to communicate in writing. Fax number does not pick up; four or more email requests go unanswered; messages left on his voice mail are not responded to over 2-3 weeks time.
Workmanship is sloppy...floor sanding results in gouges, polyurethane applied in puddles in some areas, not at all in other areas. Floor finishing job begun on September 20, 1999 remains incomplete because of Mr. Slusser's refusal to respond to any written communication, including email, fax, "snail" mail.
