This specific jiffy lube tried to sell unecessary services to my wife. We have a 2005 Toyota avalon with 65,xxx miles on it. It was rarely driven by a sick old lady that owned it. After she dropped the car off for a fluid change, She recieved a phone call stating that a radiator hose had a puncture in it and the oil pan gasket was leaking and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. Now I have worked on cars for ten years and know an extensive amount about cars but for little things like an oil change we usually just take the car somewhere because of the deals. She told them she didn't have the money right now and to not worry about it. When she got home I looked for a leaking house and there was none, which I knew because the car would overheat if it was and the oil pan was spotless and drier than the las vegas desert I live in. They figure a woman doesn't know anything and will try this scam every chance they get. For the bosses to meet their "quota" and get their yearly bonuses they must uo-sale each customer by at least $30 and it will never stop.

You can go for the 19.95 special and come out paying as much as close to 200.00. I've seen it

myself and it was done to myself. I never went back

I use Firestone now and pay one price for all services on an oil change. 49.95 plus tax is all it cost

for my Dodge Ram.

Now for the inside information on Jiffy Lube staight from the horses mout. My son worked for one

here in North Las Vegas and told me that they upsell hard to make a certain daily money total. If

they don't make that total, the district manager has a sitdown with the shop manager. If the Shop Manager

keeps missing the goal for his shop, he gets written up. He also misses out on his bonuses. I could get

all this in writing from 3 different exemployees. This is the truth and I stand by it.

My son quit because he couldn't stand the tactics they used to sell unneeded parts or services, not to

mention the markups on some parts.
