Remember the building industry will come back harder and stronger next year to take away your 1st and 7th amendment rights!

PLEASE READ and then go to our PETITION links below.........

Homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings

Stop punishing the Homeowner. Today's affordable housing is a misnomer, as the average family in the United States cannot possibly afford the continual and costly repairs and maintenance of these poorly, often substandard new homes. Our homes have multiple construction defects and code violations. The Developer/builders of our homes have failed to stand behind their work and or address our concerns. And why should they? The repercussions for a defective home falls on the shoulders of the homeowner. Our homes were the biggest investment we will ever make. I am in accordance with the following resolve;

1.) Knowing that arbitration clauses takes away our 7th amendment rights; We ask that a ban be placed on all consumer contracts.

2.) Knowing that arbitration and out of court settlements with confidentiality orders take away our 1st amendment rights; we demand a ban on all such orders ; that we may be allowed to disclose bad builders to consumer agencies to protect future home-buyers, i.e. Better Business Bureaus, Attorney General Offices, Contractor licensing boards, and any other agency designed for consumer protection. Today, confidentiality orders and clauses make this data unavailable to consumers and render these agencies useless.

3.) Knowing that in most states you cannot recover attorney fees and and costs in and out of court settlements; We request laws to change this and make them recoverable.

4.) We demand trained, skilled and supervised labor in the home building industry along with licensing and code enforcement for residential builders in all states.

5.) We demand emotional distress awards for homeowners that have had to suffer through this crisis, awards that send a message to a repeat offender builders, who have repeatedly abused families, and continually and blatantly ignored codes and laws.

Thank you for your consideration in these matters.
