In a letter from Township Solictor Mark E.Goldberg 2 / 14 / 96 The only record per-dating 1995, pertaining to the use of the property at 437 Elm Avenue for automobile repair, is a Use and Occupancy Permit Application made in September of 1972 and granted by the Zoning officer. The applicant continued as the owner of the property until July, 1995 when it was sold to the present occupant who, I understand, has continued the automobile repair business. A Use and Occupancy Permit was graned to the present occupant on July 5 / 1995.

IN MY OPINION THIS IS ALL BULL ! The records show that Dorothy C. Cottrell (WIDOW FROM 8 / 6 / 1965) sold 437 Elm Av. to Veron & Elizabth Townsend on 10 / 9 / 1965 (ZONED R1).Dorothr had no business & Veron had the garage put up! I know for a fact Veron Townsend of 437 Elm Av. Neve paid tax to Bensalem for a business. THE 1972 U & O IS ONE OF A KIND. All the other are different, when I did find one alike it came with 5 letters & an affidavit.That one says that the permit in question is a FORGERY and has a FORGED signature. In July 5 1995 Bensalem Township officials made three new and all different U & Os for 437 Elm Av. Id like to know if thats ethical.I feel they made one for evey need! I lived on Elm Av. for years with no business!!
