Global Connection Prepaid Telephone Service ..they advertise what they can't do ..they blame Alltel
I recently decided for economic reasons that I needed the advantage of having a prepaid home telephone. I went into my local Kroger and saw Global Connection's brochure, which advertised a prepaid home phone for as little as 48.50 per month. I thought that this was a good idea. So i called and it was very easy to pay Kroger and then call Global at their toll free number.
I paid for the service around August 4, 2000. The advertisement stated 3 to 5 days to connect my service. I thought that everything was set. Since that time there have been on going problems with their service as well as their unprofessionalism. It actually took them until August 15, 2000 to get the basic service connected. Recently I wanted to add call waiting to my service. I prepaid for that service on September 4, 2000 and was told on sept 5, that i would be on the next day. I have spoken with several very unprofessional service reps. One was eating soup while talking with me, and advised that she worked in accounting and was helping out in service and made a comment about the last rep I talked to. I even spoke with Mr. Abdollar who is the owner. When speaking with him, I asked if he was the owner. He replied "of what?"
So unfortunately this turns out to be a bad company and I really don't have info on the BBB in Atlanta and how to file a formal complaint. Global's recordings says that they are a dependable communication carrier. BE WARE! This is not true. All they do is make excuses about Alltel not getting the matters handle. I advised them that I don't want to hear excuses or for them to shift the blame. I only want what they advertise which they can't seem to do. Please help! Global's phone number is:
