We recently bought hosting from CIHOST.Com, and it seems that CIHOST is openly displaying an ignorance to all email (5-7 emails) sent to them regarding re-emburcemant of funds paid to them for hosting in advance that is and was never been used.

We cancelled our account at CIHOST due to the following reasons:

We waited 4 days before the account was activated after ordering their hosting. On the web site of CIHOST they state that you don't pay setup fees if you wait longer that 12 hours. They deducted the setup fees from my credit card anyway.

The highest requirement of the site we ran was uptime. The server on which our site was hosted, had some downtime and their database software crashed for some reason. This made me worry because the site we hosted relies heavily on a the database software. This never happened to us before with our old host

and we decided that we would rather go back to our old host because it seemed more reliable.

On cancellation of the account we asked for 2 days to move out. They cancelled it within 2 hours which completely removed the site from the Internet, and disappointing the 10 000 - 20 000 loyal visitors which visits the site every day. We had to wait

almost 4 days to get the site up and running again, because the DNS changes had to take effect at internic before it could come up again.

I sent numerous emails regarding their 30 money back guarantee because the account was cancelled before 30 days was over. It's now been a couple of weeks and I received no word from them. This is most probably a clear indication that CIHOST won't honor

their money back guarantee and won't even give us back the money paid for hosting in advance - which we never used.

It seems our hands are tied and that CIHOST.com is openly displaying himself as a thief.

I wasn't, in fact, involuntarily terminated as you would seem to state. I left of my own will and did not return. I am also not bitter, at this point I harbor no resent or ill will. My only purpose here was to share my knowledge and warn those who would be warned. My contempt was only natural, and was apparently shared by the vast majority of employees that I encountered. Regardless, since I am no longer an employee and have not been for several weeks, I can only hope that what problems did exist were addressed. Your company has its share of intelligent, dedicated people and as long as they remain there is hope. The way things were handled often seemed absurd to me and many others, but perhaps thats how it works everywhere. I don't care to find out. Anyway, I genuinely hope that the number of truly satisfied customers increases exponentially and that they get every bit of service and attention that they pay for. Never did I intend to vilify your company or anyone within, though in my haste I may have done so. I apologize if that's the case. I did not, however, fabricate anything I stated...there was absolutely no need. Good luck to you, your company, and those who keep it alive.

ex-employee, there are 2 sides to every story.

Obviously Mr. Caviness there are 2 sides to every story. 1300 vendors, 200,000 customers and we have 28 active lawsuits of which 16 are against custoemsr and resellres for non-payment of their bills. I do not feel for a company our size that 2x that many lawsuits if unreasonable. I am sorry you have mis-information and I am sorry you are bitter about being terminated. I DO wish you the best in your new career.

See, that's the great thing about this site. Everyone gets their opportunity to present their side of the story. Though, because I'm an ex-employee, as Faulkner helpfully pointed out everything I say must be a lie. Clearly, I've remained anonymous because I've spent weeks, month, years, concocting the ultimate fabrication to post on this site and bring C I Host down in symbolic flames. It's all part of a nefarious plot, a multinational conspiracy to guide unwitting consumers away from the best webhost in the world. They've got 3 data centers right? So they must be the best! So, how many lawsuits is the company involved in? Tens? Hundreds? Bigger. Better. Litigation. That should be the new company slogan.

I think the "anonymous" says it all. If you have a legitimate complaint about the company or our practices please EMAIL ME direct at [email protected]. I assure you we want to resolve any and all issues you might have with our company, our services or me personally. With 3 data centers across the U.S. and 1 in Europe, 200,000 customers and adding 3000+ EACH month, these stories are few and far between .The reason for our success is simple - we take care of our customers and our business. Any ex-employee is just that - an ex-employee and nothing they say will ever be considered the truth especially ones who use "Anonymous" for their names. Again my personal email is [email protected] and our direct dial line is 817-868-6999. Any complaints will be resolved PERSONALLY by me.

Another Lying Customer

#9UPDATE EX-employee responds

So many lying customers, so little time, right Faulkner? I don't know about this particular customer, but there are many stories like this, and most of them are indeed true. Faulkner was often unwilling or unable to pay for hardware, thus servers went unbuilt, sometimes for days beyond their due date. Employees were lucky if we got paid on time in the right amount. I was once handed a check for 34 hours after working 80+. I still have the pay stub...no, scratch that...the Texas Workforce Commission now has it. Along with many others that show a clear pattern of texas labor law violations. Don't waste your money with C I, because they won't be around forever. It's only a matter of time before Faulkner's ineptitude, hostility, and pathetic attempts to live like a celebrity come catching up to him. The company is involved in so many lawsuits it's unreal. Don't pay Faulkner's legal fees...because you most likely will not get decent service in return. There are better hosts and there always will be.
