I called and spoke to a rep...she said charging interest on interest is normal pratice....Normal????? Federal Law says NO....

You may have a valid complaint about customer service but there is no rip off. You admit to being a month late in paying off the bill. That gives them the right to charge all the retroactive interest. The fact that you got lucky with another company is irrelevant.
