Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

There are over 277 existing reports on this site, so I'm sure everyone is already aware of what is going on.  What everyone is probably NOT aware of, though, is something I experienced first hand from this company.

Signing up is lickity-split, "2-clicks and you're done" simple.  Everything is big, happy, official and secure feeling.  Lots of official sounding doublespeak, all well tailored to suck in the unsuspecting public who are genuinely trying to better their credit situation.  Trying to be the "responsible" good credit risk kinda folks they want us to be, right?  That's what I was trying to do too, honest.

About 2 days into it, I saw this crock for what it really is (if you don't know what I mean, refer to the 277 other reports for further research) and wanted to cancel.  Ah, the elusive cancellation process......

What they never, EVER mention in their ads is how difficult it is to cancel their "services"!!!  After fruitlessly scouring their site for a link to a cancel site, heck try even FINDING the word cancel on the site, I finally found a small inconspicuous reference to an phone number.  One, lone, single number....only available for a few, select hours a day, always in a different time zone it seems.  After 4 failed attempts at figuring out the time to call, I was finally in!!  Yeah "in", the hold queue from hell!  It never once (as some companies do) kept me abreast of how long i may be holding, i think because even the computer wouldnt be able to tell me 1 HOUR 49 MINUTES with a straight "face"!!!  I am not kidding, that is literally how long I held.

This is where it gets scary.  The agent that finally answered the call spoke with such a severe, "not-in-this-country", accent that I had to ask the obvious question right away... "are you in the continental U.S.A.?"  NOPE!  She was in the Phillipines!  When I asked for a rep in the U.S., I was told it was not possible.  When I asked to cancel, first thing this agent.....in a third world nation....asks me for is my VITAL INFO, for MY SECURITY!!  When I told her not bloody likely, she told me there was NO WAY FOR ME TO CANCEL THIS SERVICE, without ponying up my identifying information to someone not bound by any silly American laws against using it for whatever they want.  Are you friggin' kidding me?  This is going to "help" me repair my credit scores, HOW!?

I had to cancel this cr*p, so I did it.  Only then, was I informed that after we were done the agent would be very happy to connect me to a supervisor in the USA for further assistance.

Wanna know what that woman had the nerve to say to me when I demanded explanation?  "Well sir, we ARE living in a global economy".
