ATTN: WHITE BOX SCAM!!!

I unfortunately fell for a total scam and I'll be the first to admit that's on me. I was filling up my car with gas at the Exxon off 59 south just after the kirby exit.  This guy in a black relatively new suburban pulls up, he was the passenger as I am coming back to the car, probably noticed I was driving a decent SUV and asked if I was interested in some audio/visual equipment such as a projector or surround sound system.

His buddy in the car was doing something on his cell and was clearly the back-up to try and legitimize the situation as if they were a team and just finished an install. After saying no and no and no multiple times, I continued to give him an extra minute (why I do not know).  He kept at it and at it, I should have left, he popped open the back of the suburban, asking me questions like do I have a big screen, do I want a 3000 msrp stereo system.  I had never heard of the manufacturer Bessel Granger (which I learned is about as valuable as dirt).  He scanned the imagine with his phone and up popped the website and msrp $2900.

My only thoughts were, ehh maybe I'll just buy it and sell it on ebay.  He asked how much money I had on me, I said none.. he asked how much I could get out of the ATM, I said my daily limit is 300.  He continued with his pitch and made it sound like he was going to do me a huge solid and give me the surround sound set for 300 but if I ever saw him out I would pick up his tab or some b.s like that.  He put the stereo in the back of my car while I was still saying I didn't want it. He gave me this stupid a*s puppy dog face and I said, why don't you just sell it on ebay dude? He said I don't have time we just got done with some install at hooters, this is what's left and the customer would get the left overs.  AGAIN this is on me I take the fault on this one I completely lost touch with reality for 5 minutes and I'll regret is as long as I live, but hopefully I can help others avoid these idiots.  I searched his name and all sorts of s**t came up, he gave me his number to sound more convinving and he actually ansered when I called as I wanted my money back after reading all of the scam reports.

He's gotta be a felon no questions with 3 dui's and still has a breathalyzer in his car. (real winner), he is short and stocky with god awful tatoos.  He's an aggressive sales clown that most people hate.  He failed to realize I took a picture of his driver's license.  He told me he would refund my money and I drove all the way down to clear lake after he told me that morning he'd meet me at the academy at 1230.  (I swear this guy is on god knows how many drugs)  After tons of txt exchanges he said he thought I said academy in tomball.  This is when I knew this was all a waste of time.  So I of course paid him a visit at his house in a gated community just off the lake, I was able to get in. Tracked down his houst at (((REDACTED))) (looks like a town home with a garage below if you want to pay him a visit).  He did not answer the door, I left him a note and I'm certain he was surprised and seemingly concerned I knew where he lived.  I told him after one final phone call, (from my work phone because he blocked my other number) that I have nothing but time and I am going to blast his information all over the internet in hopes of at the very least saving other people from ever dealing with this guy.

You can google white box scam for more info and KHOU news did a report on these guys operating in multiple states.  All likely criminals and can't pass a background check in order to get a real job.  His phone number is 225-xxx-xxxx and name again is Frank Joshua Gregory.  5'9 short, stocky, short hair, possibly a GO-T and hazel eyes.  DL# is (((REDACTED))) DOB is 11/xx/xx  I wish I would have heard of this scam before ever meeting this idiot.  I am hugely pissed at myself for letting this piece of trash even talk to me.. I will do everything i can to make sure he's all over the internet.  He said he didn't care what the internet had to say about him.  He legally sold me a piece of equipment, even gave me a receipt with sales tax taken out.. that's how they somehow justify it's legality.

Same guy pulled the same thing with me. He was driving a black Ford F-250. I got a picture of his truck and license plate.

Contact me so we can get going on a case for this guy. I've already got about 4 or 5 other people that he's done this to as well. [email protected]
