I received a phone call from RCI vacation club which we are members of, and was told there would be a dinner for us locally for recent updates by our vacation club.

I scheduled the dinner with them, on a Thursday and when we arrived we were given information about selling our time share to them and starting a new contract with them for a different vacation club. The cost was horribly high so we decided not to take that option.

Then they asked if we would be interested in selling our timeshare (condo) and decided to listen to what they had to offer. Our timeshare is paid for and we only pay our yearly maintenance fees. They wanted us to pay them $11,000 to take our timeshare off our hands. The woman we talked to, who is the owner, said Wyndam hotels were taking over our condo and our maintenance fees would be exceptionally high. (scare tactics) We opted not to sign anything because we didn't want to spend $11,000 to sell our condo.

Then the woman asked us what amount would we be willing to pay to sell our condo. My husband said $2,000 and she jumped on it. We were to pay them $2,000 for them to buy our condo, we would have to pay for the contract to be voided, fees to the state of Florida, where our condo is located, to change ownership and any and all other fees associated with the transfer of the title.

I was not comfortable doing that but my husband wanted to go along with it.

After I got home I did some research online and found our condo has their own realtor to sell our condo if we choose. We didn't have to pay anyone to buy it. I looked at the BBB, Better Business Bureau, and they are not accredited which tells me they knowingly work to scam people.

On Friday, I stopped payment on my check, sent a certified letter with a return receipt, informing them we were cancelling and they were not to contact us any further. They have contacted us anyway and are representing themselves as RCI again. They are not RCI. We've been members of RCI for a couple years now and have had very good customer service with them.

Don't get suckered in by this Four Seasons Travel, LLC......they aren't a part of Four Seasons hotels either.
