Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I do expect to have my new home delivered to me in the same condition as what was promised to me. I'm sure we have all had some warranty claims on our homes. It is to be expected. But both myself and several of our neighbors have has too many to count. Forecast homes is careless and negligent in the building of our homes that we are paying to dollar for.

My biggest complaint however was with SC Deign. I was treated horribly when I filed my warranty claim. My carpet pad was awful. It carpet and squeaked, popped, and had too many hard stops to count. To make a very long story short, it took them four months to get out here to replace it. They made several unreasonable demands of myself such as: Hire a mover to get all your things out of the house so we can replace the carpet pad, Box up all your things, we will only move furniture, etc.

After they finally made it out here my home was left in complete chaos. Nothing was put back were it belonged. My home was full of construction dust, debris from the work, and desperately needed cleaning. So I called SC Design. I was then told by customer service representative, Elizabeth, that it is the home owners responsibility to clean up after the work crew, only to be followed by, we weren't even going to replace your whole house, you should be glad we even did that for you.

Is it me? Why am I expected to do anything? I should not have to lift a tiny little finger to fix any mistake that has been made by SC Design, Forecast, or K. Hovnanain. I am the customer! I should leave my home so they can do their repairs only to come back and not even be able to tell they had been there. Is should look just as nice or even better after they have been there.

So after all of this, I need to climb the K. Hovnanain corporate leader because SC Design says if I have a problem with their work, the builder has to fix it? OK. So after waiting and entire day for a return phone call I speak to Chad, who so graciously agrees to send out a cleaning crew to correct the problem and acts like I should be grateful they are doing it. He then sends one small girl with her little red vacuum. Are you kidding me? There is construction debris all over my home!

No where in all of this am I offered an apology from anyone in customer service. I was and continue to be treated like complete dirt. No one in any corporation holds and value in my time. In fact, my time is not even accounted for in all of this. I has thus far spend twelve full days picking up and cleaning up after what was done to the home, and I'm not anywhere near being done. How am I compensated? With a functional carpet pad? One that should have been in my home in the first place? The cleaning crew did a light vacuuming. Who is going to help me put things away? Why should I even have to put anything away? I'm not the person who put the faulty carpet pad in my home in the first place. In fact, I paid extra for a nicer carpet pad.

The best part of this entire story is my carpet pad is still bad! I have already found pops, squeaks, and hard spots! It's not even worth me asking them to come back and replace it again. So what should I do now?

I have spoken with most of the members of this community and they most are afraid to even say anything because the builder will retaliate and not follow through on their other warranty issues. And still other neighbors said they have in fact been retaliates against by the builder when the filed their claims.
