Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was ripped off by First Union Mortgage.

I was deceived by an employee of this company.I was told that I was purchasing a modual home for $35,000.00 and a peice of land for $15,000.00.I have a contract with the price listed for $49,900.00. She stole a $100.00 from the value of the loan.

She deceive me on whom the sellers was. The man that I contractd with, told me the modular and land had belonged to him.

In Nov 1998.I found this employee's name on my deed. I filed a lawsuit March 1999. On Aug 25,1999. I received a reply from her lawsuit. She stated that we paid $15,000.00 for the modular and that we purchased it from a mortgage company.

She fraudulently listed this company as a seller. She was not

the real owner of the modular. This woman took my old modular.

I found out through the department that she de-tiled my old modular and had it listed as hers. She also has it listed

under a fictious name.

I sent a letter to First Union's CEO, Mr Crutchfield. He would not respond. This was eight months ago.

I tried contacting First Union's consumer advocate by phone and mail.

Oneday in May, 2000 I spoke with a rep and I told her that I wasn't getting anywhere with their company.

I told her hat I was going to the media. She told me to hold on. The consumer advocate's assistance got on the phone..I explained

everything. She asked me what I wanted. I had no clue too what she was asking me because I had already explained the fraud.

My wife got on the phone and asked her what was she talking about.

My wife told her we wanted punitive damages and for them to take the house have this employee locked up.

She told my wife this is what she was trying to get me say.

She told my wife that she was going to get back with me.

This was five month ago.

I have not heard anything from her.

A few month ago my wife and I figured out what we actually paid for. They set us up to borrow $50,000.00 to cover other bogus exspense . The sellers real estate's commision, seller's attorneys fee, title search, taxes plus one percent and all other closing cost.

I have a contract that states the seller is to pay all closing costs. She stole $28,000.00. I have to pay twenty two years on a bogus $50,000.00 mortgage.

I hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. We are not the first to be ripped off by them and we know that I we won't be the last.

Sincerely,

Earl Thomas
