This person was completely unreasonable, and is not telling the truth about what happened. I informed him several times that ballooning was VERY weather dependant, and the flight may have to be rescheduled several times, but that the gift certificate was good until we made the flight. When the weather did not co-operate on the first attempt, this individual demanded a refund saying that he didn't have the time to reschedule once, much less as many times as it takes. I re-iterated that we could try again the next week, but what I got was a screaming maniac driving up and down my street, beeping their horn and using foul launguage at 3AM! (seriously). When we next spoke he never denied the car incident. I asked what would make him happy, and he said a full refund, minus the $50 per person normal deposit (as opposed to the full price gift certificate) would be fine. We met that same night and I handed over a check for the amount requested. I guess you just can't make some people happy!
