I went into the store to pay for gas like I usually do with cash.

I paid the clerk my money. The pump was never turned on at all. I even went back in the store and the clerk said she did not remember me. The pump was still not turned on so I went to 7-11 down the street instead.

The clerk working was the asst. manager of this store. I wonder what they teach the regular clerks after this was pulled on me. I this day will not buy any gas from them at all.

Then a week later at a different store I was buying a pack of smokes that were on sale buy one get one free when this clerk named joe charged me $6.15 for them, which is funny they did not cost that much the day before.

I emailed the company with my corcerns, and after two days sent me a letter saying that the managers would be informed. yet I bet nothing was done because I was not the only one they did this too!

Don't pay for gas without getting the crooks to turn on the pump first! Pay before you pump gas is a scam to ripoff the customer in some places!

If you have any problems with a gas station it's best to contact the Bureau of Petroleum Inspection (Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services).

I don't think all clerks are trying to rip you off.

In the first case, of the clerk not turning on the gas. Your mistake was to leave the store, I would have stayed, and if she still was saying "she didn't remember" you, then you could of asked the clerk to call the manager, or you could of called the police. The stores are equipped with surviellance, and it could have been easily resolved. And as far as the other situation with "Joe" and the cigarettes, did you ask him about it, or ask to speak to the store manager? Sometimes questioning on the spot, gets any misunderstandings resolved.
